🎉 Internship Complete: What a Ride! 🎉 As I close out my internship as Community Lead at Vuori Del Mar, I’m feeling so grateful for an experience that has been both challenging and rewarding in the best ways. Working for a brand that truly prioritizes community and connection has been a game-changer for me, both personally and professionally. From organizing events like ACTV Club IRL—our biggest yet!—to coordinating Team Sweats and Private Shop Nights, this internship has taught me how to create meaningful experiences that go beyond just showing up—they spark genuine connections. I’ve also learned that the little things, like outfitting instructors in Vuori for their classes, can have a huge impact in building lasting relationships and brand loyalty. This role wasn’t always smooth sailing (what is?), but the challenges pushed me to think creatively, stay adaptable, and lead with intention. Whether it was planning multiple events back-to-back or pivoting when something didn’t work out, I learned to stay focused on Vuori’s core value: Invest in Happiness. To my mentor, Jenifer Parkinson, thank you for always being just a message away with advice, support, and trust in my ideas. And to my team at Del Mar—thank you for bringing the energy, positivity, and hard work that made every event possible. I’m walking away with skills I’ll carry into the next chapter of my career—and the confidence to keep building, learning, and creating opportunities to connect people in meaningful ways. This experience has greatly broadened my perspective and provided me with valuable insights into event management and international exchange. Here are a few key takeaways from my time as a Production Assistant: Logistics Management: Managing event logistics taught me the importance of meticulous planning and coordination. From setup to execution, every detail is crucial for ensuring a smooth event experience. Team Collaboration: Working closely with a diverse team of professionals and volunteers highlighted the importance of clear communication and teamwork in achieving our goals. Creative Problem-Solving: Addressing unexpected challenges during the festival enhanced my ability to think on my feet and adapt quickly, essential skills in any dynamic environment.
