🌟 Teamwork makes the dream work! 🌟 We are excited to be hosting a booth at NACCHO 360 for the week. Despite some unexpected challenges, our team came together to make it happen! Huge shout out to our team members, Cara Lane and Ciera Tyler, for helping pull this together despite not being able to make it here in person today. Due to the recent mass tech outage, Cara’s flights kept getting canceled and she couldn’t get the booth materials to NACCHO. But we didn’t let that stop us! We problem-solved and rallied as a team, heading to FedEx to overnight the booth materials to Craig’s hotel. Thanks to everyone's efforts, Craig A. Isaak made it to NACCHO 360 on time, booth materials in hand! In life and business, unforeseen circumstances happen. Shift your focus from the negative and concentrate on how you respond, what you can learn, and how you can show up strong for your team. NeoCon was awesome, but here is my highlight for the week: a personal video from Jesse Cole, owner of the Savannah Bananas. The Savanna Bananas are a baseball team that has done for baseball what Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group has done for the circus. So why am I interested? Our industry is stuck in a 3 three-ring circus of #RTO, #Hybrid, and #WellBeing. William Gibson coined the phrase, "The future is already here, just not evenly distributed." We break from the past by finding positive outliers and learning their journey. That's not the same as copying their "formula." I recommend you buy Jesse's book, "Fans First." Every day at work, I'm filled with the assurance that our team will slay dragons for one another, no matter the challenge. This sense of unity was built over time, through navigating tough periods, dedicating time to "battle," as one of the team members called it, and discussing the importance of humility, transparency, and vulnerability, among other things. Building trust, understanding the different ways we give and receive information, and most importantly, how we process it, has been crucial. I adapt my approach for each team member, tailored to how they best receive, process, and use information. How well do you know your team members? Would they slay dragons for you?
