Going above and beyond is vital for building relationships with clients which in turn will give you work for years to come. You’d be suprised at how many companies have a dismissive attitude when it comes to going that extra mile for a client or project.
Our team is excited to announce that we've been selected to lease Roosevelt Park, a 112,731 SF three-building light-industrial complex.
📍 The park is located in the Mid-Pinellas/Gateway submarket, within one mile of the St. Pete/Clearwater Airport.

You can't really have everything figured out from day one.
When we opened the doors at Eagle Interiors, we thought we were building A business focused for landlords and estate agents.
And that was the path we took.
Cold calling, pitching and selling a service to an audience we thought held the future to our success.
But God had other plans.
And our job was to embrace them.
When we were first requested to quote on a huge development in Birmingham, my mind froze
How could I undertake such a huge responsibility?
How could I price up a job that would span so many days and so many staff?
Did I have the shoulders to carry the responsibility for such a large project?
But at the bottom of my heart I knew that this was the right thing to do.
An opportunity like this wasn't one to be passed lightly, and with the right support, we were able to pull off the job with glowing results.
The direction of our business took a turn thereafter, and we started chasing the exact projects that I was scared to on board.
And we haven't looked back.
Moral of the story?
Don't let fear or uncertainty pave your future.
Find the right support network.
Get advice.
And embrace the opportunities that come your way.
Of course, no LinkedIn post would be complete without a pitch for more business.

As part of my role in Partel, I get to visit some great places. I spent last week in Vancouver, visiting our colleagues in Partel Canada.
- We presented several lunch and learns to architects/engineers
- We did some hands on membrane application internally, to identify similarities and differences in the application methods used in Europe Vs Canada
- We attended the British Columbia Building Envelope Council (BCBEC) conference and AGM.
My main takeaway from the visit was the similarities between the BC and UK markets. Specifiers ask the same questions, contractors want to get stuck in and try out new products and generally everyone wants to build to a higher standard.
Of course I snuck in a cycle around Stanley Park and a Canucks hockey game while I was over there too, which made the visit feel more like a holiday than a work trip.
Thank you Dusan Cvijic and the team for your hospitality as always.
Former colliery site “transformed” into £20 million retail hub
“Regeneration like this has the ability to transform a community and it’s fantastic to have worked with Hellens Group to be able to create this retail park for Houghton-le-Spring, especially as the site had lain empty for so long.”
Houghton Colliery in Houghton-le-Spring, which operated for over 150 years before closing in 1981, has been brought back to life by North East regeneration specialists Hellens Group and delivered by Robertson Construction North East.

🚧 Major Construction Alert: Gardiner Expressway Rehabilitation 🚧
Heads up, Toronto! Starting next Monday, March 25, get ready for lane restrictions on the Gardiner Expressway between Dufferin Street and Strachan Avenue. 🚗🚧
Our beloved expressway, after over 60 years of tireless service, is getting a much-needed facelift. Age, daily wear and tear, harsh weather, and salt have taken their toll, bringing us to this pivotal moment of restoration. 🏗️🛣️
Thanks to the Toronto City Council’s approval, the Gardiner Expressway Strategic Rehabilitation Plan is rolling out in six sections, aiming to rejuvenate this crucial artery of our city. The work on this particular stretch kicked off with preliminary steps in November 2023 and will push through until mid-2027. 🕒🔨
What’s on the agenda?
• Replacing 700 metres of the elevated expressway surface
• Rehabilitating the underlying structures for continued support
• Installing a new traffic management system and brighter streetlights for safer night drives
Expect some nighttime operations too, like girder replacements and traffic barrier adjustments, to minimize daytime disruptions. 🌙✨
This rehab project is no small feat, given the expressway’s height, narrowness, and constant bustle. And while it might seem quiet up top during road closures, rest assured, the hard work is happening below. 👷♀️👷
Special Note: During the FIFA World Cup from May to July 2026, the expressway will be fully accessible, ensuring smooth travel for everyone. ⚽🌍
Mayor Olivia Chow reassures us, “This construction is urgently needed to keep traffic flowing and keep our communities connected. The city is committed to ensuring a state of good repair for generations to come as we focus on getting Toronto back on track.” 🌆🛤️
Stay patient, Toronto! This is all for a safer, smoother Gardiner. Keep this in mind as you plan your commutes and let’s support our city through this transformative journey. #TorontoConstruction#GardinerExpressway#TorontoTraffic#CityImprovements#TorontoNews#torontorealestate#condomarket#homeownershipstruggles#legalissues#buyerbeware
