As we approach the end of this year, it is a moment to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, take pride in the projects we have implemented, and learn from the challenges we’ve faced with courage and resilience. At Mitrelli, 2024 has been a remarkable year, where we focused not only on growth but also on making a meaningful impact. Together, we turned dreams into reality and touched countless lives to build a brighter future. We have made significant strides in developing essential infrastructure that is crucial for the well-being of communities: from advanced healthcare, housing, and sports systems to energy and water solutions, as well as education and training facilities. While our accomplishments have been many, this year also brought challenges driven by market changes and volatility. Yet, what truly stood out was our unwavering resilience, commitment, and ability to turn these challenges into opportunities. Our success was made possible by the tireless efforts of our teams and the invaluable collaboration of our partners. To enhance our performance, we redesigned and restructured our operational model to boost agility and elevate our delivery standards to new heights. We have come together, united as one strong company, with a shared vision for the future, and our renewed approach reflects our dedication to the mission ahead. I am confident that we are well-positioned to tackle the opportunities and challenges of the new year with even greater strength. This pioneering effort will harness the power of nonlinear thinking to explore new dimensions of food security and sustainability. Parallel to this, we’re launching a groundbreaking project: a Kids Think Tank. This platform will engage children from around the world, empowering these young, nonlinear thinkers to voice their unique perspectives on hunger. These brilliant young minds will also contribute to a special white paper, demonstrating that innovative solutions can come from thinkers of any age. The insights gathered from these white papers will lay the foundation for our targeted programs to combat hunger. With an allocated budget of $15 million through 2030, we are committed to funding and supporting projects that address this global challenge head-on. At the core of our efforts is the belief in the Human Mycelium—the interconnected network of minds worldwide. With 23 speakers, 6 keynote speakers, 5 panels, 6 workshops, and 2 educational labs for children and teens, this event focused on the three Os: Open Data, Open Hardware, and Open Source Software, exploring the vast opportunities they unlock for innovation. 👥 We attracted a diverse and predominantly young audience, with over 100 participants each day! Ivonne Forno, President of HIT - Hub Innovazione Trentino, remarked, "HIT's mission finds full expression in events like these, where research and business stakeholders engage with the public on themes and approaches such as Free Software and Open Technologies. These initiatives enable economic development and regional well-being through collaboration and community-building practices." - ‘TRENTO OPEN FESTIVAL - Freedom to Innovate’ was promoted by HIT - Hub Innovazione Trentino, in collaboration with the Università di Trento, Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK and Fondazione Ampioraggio, as part of the European project ZOOOM on 3Os and IP and with the support of PagoPA S.p.A..
