📣 We are thrilled to have been highly commended for Campaigning Team of the Year at the #CharityTimes Awards, in recognition of our #KeepCounsellingConfidential campaign.
Alongside our sisters at Centre for Women's Justice, Rights of Women and the End Violence Against Women Coalition, we successfully campaigned to raise the legal threshold for when police can request rape survivors’ counselling notes. It's an honour to be recognised for this work, and we'd like to thank the brave survivors who entrusted us with their stories and showed so much strength in using their experiences to improve things for other survivors.

Calling LGBTQ+ businesses: $10k grant!
To be eligible for this donation, your business must meet the following criteria:
• The Queer to Stay initiative is specifically focused on supporting US-based, for-profit businesses. Nonprofit organizations and international businesses are not eligible for funding through the Queer to Stay initiative.
• Your business should primarily serve/cater to the LGBTQ+ community, including LGBTQ+ Communities of Color, the LGBTQ+ Women's Community, and/or the Transgender and Non-Binary Community.
• Your business must explain how they have been negatively impacted financially due to COVID-19.
• Special consideration will be given to businesses that are owned by members of the communities we are trying to serve through this initiative -- queer people of color, queer women and transgender and non-binary individuals. We will also prioritize funding for businesses that did not receive a donation from the Queer to Stay initiative previously.

Thrilled to share the remarkable appointment of Marlene Sallo, a beacon for those in disability advocacy, to the Dept. of Homeland Security's Disability Advisory Committee. A testament to the power of diverse perspectives in decision-making. Every voice counts, especially in spaces where they've been unheard! Grassroots nonprofit leaders, we learn a crucial lesson: representation matters.
Every day you champion for inclusivity & representation. Consider this occasion as inspiration to double down on your mission. Is there a pain point you might be overlooking? Remember, authentic narratives foster connections which ultimately reinforce your cause, so share the stories that need to be heard.
Marketing your #nonprofit can be daunting, but it's about accentuating the human element, and tapping into the power of empathy.
