Here to share some nuggets of wisdom (and things that RevPartners does) that keep our culture thriving across a distributed team. With the rise of remote work (face it: working remotely is here to stay), maintaining that vibrant culture across distributed teams has become both a challenge and an opportunity. Here are some things to consider no matter where your team members are located: 🤝 Communication is Key: Foster open channels for communication and collaboration. From virtual coffee breaks to team huddles, keep those lines of communication flowing freely. 🌐 Embrace Technology: Leverage tech tools like Slack, Zoom, and Airspeed to bridge the physical gap. Embrace the power of emojis and GIFs - because messages without emojis are boring! 🎉 Celebrate Together, Apart: Birthdays, work anniversaries, project milestones— no celebration should be missed, no matter the distance. Get creative with virtual parties, themed events, and surprise deliveries to make every occasion memorable. 📚 Invest in Development: Empower your team members with opportunities for growth and learning. Whether it's through online courses, virtual workshops, or in-house training, provide opportunities for growth! 💬 Feedback Flows Freely: Cultivate a culture of feedback, where constructive feedback and praise flow freely. Encourage regular check-ins and one-on-ones to ensure everyone feels heard and valued. 📣 PRO-TIP: Invest in your People team and have a People Partner program! 🌱 Nurture Connection: Beyond work tasks, make time for personal connections. Share stories, hobbies, and interests to nurture a sense of camaraderie and belonging. In the end, it's not about where your team is located—it's about the shared values, vision, and experiences that bind them together. So, embrace the virtual world, provide space for connection, and watch your company culture thrive! 🌍

If you manage a mix of outstaffed and in-house teams, you already understand the complexities of creating a harmonious work environment. Bridging these two groups can seem daunting, but it doesn't have to be. Why focus on integration? It ensures that both teams are aligned on goals, processes, and culture, which is essential for project success. Here's how to make it work seamlessly: → Start by setting up regular check-ins and clear communication protocols. Whether it's daily stand-ups via video calls or a dedicated Slack channel, make sure everyone knows how and when to share updates. → Clarity is your best friend. Ensure that every team member knows their specific roles and what is expected of them. This clarity reduces overlap and confusion, boosting efficiency. → Create team-building activities that include both in-house and outstaffed members. Whether it's virtual coffee breaks or online team games, these small gestures help in building a cohesive team culture. Integrating outstaffed teams with in-house staff enhances project output and builds a stronger, more adaptable organization. So, what's your take on these integration practices? Are you ready to streamline your team management for better productivity and smoother collaboration? #TeamManagement #Outstaffing #ITstaffing

As a remote team, you have to be a lot more intentional about culture. In a physical office, you can sense the morale, chat over coffee, or spontaneously grab lunch with a colleague. But with a distributed team, building those connections requires thoughtful design. At Kalon Creative, we're always thinking, "This could be better." That mindset drives how we approach our work, and it’s just as important in how we think about our culture. From the beginning, Brett Turner and I built Kalon on values like collaboration, generosity of spirit, and integrity. As our team has grown, we have hired team members who embody those values and we work to create an environment where we live out our values. One challenge we're working on is balancing intentional connection points with opportunities for spontaneous interaction. Every month we have a call with our team in order to connect, celebrate, and invest in our culture. Each quarter we do 3 different types of team calls: 1. All Hands: A company-wide call where we share updates, celebrate wins, and align on our vision. 2. Chat & Chow: A casual time to connect over a meal or drink on Zoom, often in smaller breakout rooms for better conversations. 3. Team Building: Fun virtual activities to strengthen relationships and create shared experiences. Recently, our leadership team had an honest discussion about how some of these calls felt dry or stale. Feedback like that doesn't scare us -- we welcome it in order to do things in a better way. As a result, we're streamlining our All Hands calls, moving project updates to Slack, and experimenting with more interactive formats for team building. We're constantly iterating because we know culture isn’t static — it evolves as our team grows. As a leader you can't control your culture, but you can influence it. What’s one thing you’re doing to intentionally build your company culture? #TeamBuilding #CompanyCulture #ThisCouldBeBetter
