What an insightful reminder! ☀️This is how I train my brain for optimism: ✨ Awareness: I recognize those negative thoughts when they creep in ... I simply acknowledge them but don't let them get in the driver's seat. Awareness gives one pause and releasing those negative thoughts intentionally empowers one to focus on what's important. ✨ Gratitude: I try to notice and express gratitude for the simplest things in life. Sometimes, it's as simple as thinking of three things one might be grateful for in the current moment: coffee, sunshine, a healthy body! ✨ Positive Affirmations: I try to remind myself of how much I have overcome. The reality is that I am resilient, resourceful and courageous and I simply have to replace those negative thoughts with empowering statements. "I am capable," "I am worthy," "I am successful." ✨ Filter Your World: I love this analogy of sunglasses by Mel Robbins and I am mindful about putting on my rose-colored lenses by actively seeking out the good in every situation. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth. 🌱 ✨ Community: I am keen on surrounding myself with positive, supportive people who uplift me and my dreams. There is so much value and power in shared experiences, collective wisdom, and the energy that comes from a group of like-minded individuals striving for growth and success.
