Dwindling gas imports from Bolivia and the increase of pre-salt gas production as a potential supplier of Brazilian demand thanks to the Rota 3 pipeline will require the flow of the Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline — also knows as Gasbol — to be reversed, according to transport companies. Absolutely, Cathy L. Farmer, PG you highlight/emphasize a crucial aspect of the energy industry. THANK YOU FOR POINTING THAT OUT! While proven reserves provide a snapshot of what we currently know, they don't encapsulate the full potential of future discoveries and advancements in extraction technologies. Investing in exploration and development is not just about securing current resources but also about unlocking the untapped potential that lies beneath the surface. It's a dynamic process that requires continual investment and innovation to ensure a sustainable energy future.

In the 20 years since Equinor 's initial development of Kvitebjorn, using cesium formate brine to drill and complete its deep HP/HT gas wells, the field has produced over 100 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas - far more than the original recoverable reserves estimate figure of 57 bcm. The UK's Centrica Energy signed 10 year contracts with Statoil/Equinor in 2002 and 2014 to take 5 bcm/year and I guess Kvitebjorn has delivered on schedule. 5 bcm/year represents around 7% of the UK's gas consumption

#LNG #review #technology More than 43 % of installed small-scale LNG capacity  in the country they use throttle cycles for liquefying natural gas, 30 % use an expander cycle, 22 % use  nitrogen cycle technologies. The vast majority of installations (88 %) use technologies  developed by Russian companies. More details in the picture in the attachment.

JERA Co., Inc. agreed to acquire a 15.1pc stake for $1.4bn from Woodside Energy in the Scarborough gas field. ⇢ The Scarborough gas project will produce 8mn t/yr of LNG at Woodside's Pluto LNG facility from 2026, and Jera plans to secure LNG for the next 20 years. ⇢ Jera will not install carbon capture and storage technology in the Scarborough gas development, but could purchase carbon credits if CO2 emissions rise above the baseline set for the project. ⇢ Over the next 10 years, Jera will buy six LNG cargoes from Woodside, representing 4.6 percent of its current LNG handling. Mexico Natural Gas Production Down as Constitutional Energy Reform Stirs Controversy (Pemex) supplied 3.47 Bcf/d or 95% of last month’s total, with private sector firms accounting for the remainder, data from upstream regulator Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH) show.
