Double spending can sneak up on us, especially when it comes to dining out or ordering in. 🍝💸 Double spending , in this context, refers to buying food outside (delivery or dining out) when you already have food at home, leading to unnecessary extra costs for the same need. The convenience is tempting, but the cost can add up quickly! Let's take a look at this comparison: on the upper left, we have a delicious home-cooked pasta meal, and on the lower right, a similar meal from a restaurant. By choosing to cook at home more often, we can save money and have more control over the ingredients, ensuring healthier meals for our families. #TheResolutionPACT #comingsoon #FinancialFriday #HomeCookedMeals #SaveMoney #HealthyEating

Restaurant Food Tips When you go out to your favorite restaurants, it's hard to eat within the parameters of your calories. However, there are two tips to fix this problem while still enjoying your favorite foods. 1) When you eat out, make it a habit to order the smallest portion available. We are programmed to eat whatever is in front of us, even though we’d feel just as full on less. And since portions have grown in recent years, the smallest size isn’t very small at all. 2) Split the meal in half. If you order a calorie-heavy meal, it's best not to eat it all in one meal. Instead, eat half of it and ask for a to-go box to save the rest for another time. That way, you eat less and have a meal for later!

🤔What is Food Cost? Food cost = the total cost of ingredients needed to create a dish. So if a dish costs $5 to make and is sold for $20, the food cost percentage would be 25%. 📈 Keeping food costs in check helps maintain profitability. If food costs are too high, profit margins shrink, making it harder to keep your restaurant afloat. #smallbiztips #restaurant

never et those foods in restaurants: Approach with caution ©GCapture/Shutterstock Dining out is one of life’s biggest joys but, sometimes, certain dishes just aren't worth the price tag. While there are plenty of reputable restaurants that don't cut corners, some will leave you short-changed. From the ingredients that are less likely to be fresh to meals that could land you with a stomach bug, these are the dishes you should never order at a restaurant – some may seriously surprise you. Click or scroll through our gallery as we rank the foods you should avoid when eating out, counting down to the worst offender of all. We've based our ranking on the quality of ingredients and food risks involved, and on the opinions of our well-traveled (and well-fed) team. Are your serving sizes adaptable? Here are 3x reasons why they should be: 1️⃣ A staggering 41% of food waste comes from oversized portions. By offering a variety of portion sizes, you can dramatically cut down on the amount of food that ends up in the bin. 2️⃣ When customers have the option to choose a portion that fits their appetite, they're more likely to enjoy their meal and leave your restaurant feeling just right. This flexibility can significantly boost their dining experience. 3️⃣ Smaller portion options can attract a wider audience, including those who prefer lighter meals or are mindful of their food intake. This can lead to increased customer frequency and smaller dishes often mean less cost per serving, improving your bottom line. Make sure these options stand out on your menu and give your team the tools to chat them up with a smile. This approach not only helps reduce food waste but also keeps your customers coming back for more. Cheers to empty plates and even happier customers! . . . . . #ConsciousKitchens #ZeroToLandfill #stopfoodwaste #foodwaste #thisisirishfood #irishrestaurants #dublinrestaurants #irishfood #dublinfood #dineindublin #irishchef #irishfoodbusiness
