Asheville’s Brewing Industry: A Vital Part of Our Local Economy I read an article recently by Citizen Times that back in 2019, it was reported by Riverbird Research that Asheville’s brewing industry contributed $935 million to the local economy. Fast forward to today, several years and many more breweries later, that impact has only grown. However, in the weeks since Hurricane Helene, several of these beloved local establishments are still working to reopen their doors. The challenges they face are real, and our support can make a difference. If you’re able to help, visit this site to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eFMe_SxT #supportlocal #ashevillenc #wncmountains #cre

SHARE: As the weather begins to get nicer and you take your kiddos to a local pond or lake to feed the ducks and geese, please keep this bit of info in mind.🙏🙏🙏 Another FYI Feeding bread causes permanent damage to ducks and geese. They develop angel wing. They can not migrate or fly to avoid predators. PLEASE DO NOT FEED BREAD to ducks and geese. Cracked corn, corn, peas, mealworms, romaine lettuce, watermelon, grapes CUT into pieces, cantaloupe……are a few good options!

"Variety is the spice of life". We like a varied menu and so do pests. Stimulating pests appetite means mixing up baits to include those meals they'd never meet in the wild but instinctively know are delicious. Local fish wholesaler thinks I'm big on Bouillabaisse. It's the name and my fondness for gesturing & red lipstick. Oui. Le félin l' appât 3 whole salmon heads for $4. Each cuts into 4 pieces & is wrapped separate into a freezer bag for ease of use. Makes 12 ready to go winter cage trap lures for feral cats. For when other things aren't tempting them.Because as any cat owner will tell you, cats like variety. The cool weather we are having also means the bait doesnt get fly blown and retains its allure for at least a week. Then it can go in the compost tumbler. Add this bait to your feral cat catching arsenal.
