🌟 What makes new joiners thrive at Whatagraph? 🤔 Curiosity ❓ Courage to ask questions to understand 💡 Drive to find solutions These are the qualities that Gibson highlighted when we asked him to describe people who thrive at Whatagraph during our annual anniversary catch-up. In his three years as a Backend Engineer, Gibson has found joy in two key aspects of his role: the flexibility of remote work, which allows him to maintain a well-balanced life as an early bird, and the opportunity to collaborate with a team. Working in a team environment has been particularly meaningful to him, providing countless opportunities to learn and enhance his skills as an engineer. Gibson’s reflections remind us of what makes our culture special – the continuous pursuit of improvement and growth, all made possible by our collaborative environment. Thank you, Gibson, for three incredible years of dedication and impact. We’re so proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to achieving even greater things together! 🎉

If you’ve had a conversation with me in the past 5 years, you’ve likely heard me fangirling out about BrightHire and how much of a game changer it is. When I’m evaluating a vendor, I care about all the normal things (time to first value, ROI, usability, performance, etc.) but the secret sauce is always in the following areas: • How quickly are they innovating? Brighthire has consistently come to me with features that I didn’t even know I needed but now I can’t live without. Go check out Plan if you haven’t already. • How accessible is the leadership team? I have a text group chat with Benjamin Sesser and Theodore Chestnut • How knowledgeable are the PMs and Support team? Every time it feels like I’m talking to someone who is living in the Talent world. They just get it. I’m SO excited to chat with some phenomenal people about the Future of the Recruiter Role at BrightHire shine tomorrow.

What I've learned in 1 Year as a VA Last September, I hit my one-year anniversary as a Virtual Assistant! 🎉 At first, I thought it would be a breeze, but I quickly realized there were some serious learning curves. Despite the challenges, this journey has been incredibly rewarding. It's not just about the flexibility of working from anywhere (though that's pretty awesome). It's about the professional growth I've experienced. Working with my client for a year has been a game-changer. I've not only learned new tools and software but also developed a new mindset and skillset. Plus, I've been fascinated by the world of AI and automation, and I'm eager to dive deeper. I'm definitely not the same Abdiel who started this journey a year ago. I've become a better professional, and I'm excited to help more clients succeed. Fellow admin professionals, Did you experience any challenge during your first year? Drop your comment below! 👇

There's no 'i' in team, but there is in Tag-iversary! That’s why we celebrate the milestones of individuals who have helped shape Tag through the years. joyel christi, Senior EUC Engineer, began his journey at Tag five years ago. He works from the Tag Americas Toronto, Canada location, and shares why he loves working at Tag: “The variety of work is what I love most. I often have a variety of challenges as I work with different teams across the globe. This means that I have an opportunity to gain an understanding of the industry and develop my problem-solving skills.” Joyel continues why he enjoys Tag, “Of course, for its culture! Tag provides a supportive work environment and flexible schedules to work from home or office which helps to increase output and creativity. On regular intervals, there are different fun activities to participate in. Thirsty Thursdays and delicious delights from our Test Kitchen are like a cherry on the cake.” As a hybrid worker, he shares how he breaks up his day when working virtually. “I start my day with a light workout from the comfort of my small home gym. I also take lunch and coffee breaks away from my desk. When I get an opportunity, I go for a short walk. Music is the best tool to unwind; I often listen to light music in the background when not in meetings or calls.” When asked what advice he would give new Tag employees, Joyel says, “Observe your surroundings and ask a lot of questions, as asking questions ensures clarity of expectation and it accelerates the learning process. We have amazingly amiable people who are always eager to help.” Thanks for all you do, Joyel. We hope you have a very Happy Tag-iversary!” #TagTalent #Anniversary #People

🎉 Happy 1-year anniversary at Dagger, Sophia Sanders! 🎉 It’s been incredible watching you grow over the past year, and I’m so excited to see all your hard work come together at our upcoming team retreat! 💪❤️ Transitioning from a non-technical company to a technical start-up is no small feat, especially in the B2B tech world. But Sophia has embraced every challenge like a pro and gracefully took all feedback. As her manager, this milestone also got me reflecting on what it takes to thrive in Ops within a start-up. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart! I hope these tips will help anyone else in Ops who’s thinking about diving into start-ups: 1️⃣ Be ready to do it all—and do it with a smile. In a physical office, I’d say, “take out the trash,” but in a remote world, this could be anything from crunching numbers to taking a small but time-consuming task off someone’s plate. 2️⃣ Stay ahead of the game—be everywhere, all the time. Anticipating your team’s needs before they ask is a superpower. 3️⃣ Embrace the energy—you set the tone for the whole team. Being the Ops cheerleader is part of the role, and your enthusiasm will be contagious. 4️⃣ Celebrate technical wins—you don’t have to be technical yourself, but you should be excited about the team’s technical milestones. If you’re not engaged, everyone will notice. I’m not going to sugarcoat it—Ops can be a thankless job sometimes. If you’re doing it well, much of what you do may go unnoticed because you’ve built such a seamless system. But that’s what makes it so impactful. 🙌

There's no 'i' in team, but there is in Tag-iversary! That’s why we celebrate the milestones of individuals who have helped shape Tag through the years. Canada Chief Client Officer at Tag Americas, Andrea Flanders, is celebrating her 10-year Tag-iversary this month—Congratulations, Andrea! Leading the Canada team from the Toronto office, she’s experienced a myriad of changes. While business at Tag is constantly moving and evolving, Andrea has seen one constant in the time she’s been with Tag—our work culture. “I get to work in a creative environment, with really great, smart colleagues and clients. There’s never been a shortage of opportunities to learn, collaborate, grow, and think creatively. When you work with great people, it makes coming to work way more fun.” Though Andrea works from the Toronto office, she travels and on occasion, works remotely from home. During those days, how does she like to break up her day? “I love a morning workout to energize me physically and mentally for the day ahead. I try to get outside over lunch or in the afternoon for some fresh air and walk around the block to get my body moving, break up the screen time. When I have a busy day of calls, it’s not always easy to do, but I’m a big fan of a walking meeting. Probably my most favorite way to break up the day is when canine visitors are involved. Nothing like getting to pet a dog for a mid-day hit of serotonin and dopamine!” For new Tag joiners, Andrea has this advice: “Engage with colleagues—there are so many great people at Tag with diversity in skillset, background, and ways of thinking, all around the world. You never know who you can learn from or who can learn from you.” She also adds, “Familiarize yourself with the different teams, functions, and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) at Tag. It’s a great way to learn how to navigate the business early on.” Thanks for all you do, Andrea! Have a very Happy Tag-iversary! #TagTalent #Anniversary #People

There's no 'i' in team, but there is in Tag-iversary! That’s why we celebrate the milestones of our people who have helped shape Tag through the years. Maribeth Burton began her journey at Tag Americas exactly five years ago today! When reflecting on her time with Tag, Maribeth shares what she loves about her job, “Because Tag is a multifaceted marketing company with a diverse client list, my days are never boring. I love the ever-changing landscape of my work!” A few years ago, Maribeth faced a health challenge, which over time has become a career highlight for her. “Tag fully supported me through that difficult time; I was able to focus on my health without fear of losing my job. I recovered and returned to my work and have been able to continue growing within the company. I’m so very thankful.” Because Maribeth works remotely, she understands the challenges other remote colleagues might face. “Staying connected is important—Microsoft Teams is a great way to communicate—and not just about work. It’s important we have those virtual ‘water cooler chats’ and check in on people you work with.” And how does she break up her day? “Taking care of yourself is so important—be sure to drink lots of water and don’t skip a meal, which is so easy to do if you’re busy at your desk all day. I make it a point to step away from my desk and eat at regular intervals. I also make time to walk outside in the sun for some vitamin D.” For new Tag joiners, Maribeth has this advice: “Be sure to embrace technology… and be intentional about getting to know other people at Tag to learn about what they do and learn more about the company.” Thanks for all you do, Maribeth! Have a very Happy Tag-iversary!” #TagTalent #Anniversary #People

I'm at my first Storyblok team retreat, and it's mind-blowing! Check out this pic. It's one of the main reasons I joined this company. I'm surrounded by people from all over the world! It's not just about having awesome dinners and learning about different experiences and perspectives: this diversity also boosts our creativity during tech discussions! I can't stress enough how happy I am to be here. And I encourage you all to seek out similar experiences. You don't even have to change companies, just dive into the open source world and find diverse communities and teams. You'll meet fascinating people and expand your knowledge and skills 🚀🚀🚀
