At the 2024 POST Conference, it became clear that rapid innovation and new technologies are essential to maintaining a competitive edge. Four years ago, a group of civilians, field grade officers, and NCOs, including myself, developed the first version of the Army Pacific Innovation Process, now called the OSD Technology Readiness Experimentation (TREX). However, the Army leadership did not adopt it, but it served as a foundation for OSD R&E's Mr. Shotgun Browning to adopt it at the OSD level. The conference highlighted the importance of providing customized strategic insights and innovative solutions to complex problems. It emphasized the critical nature of Rapid Innovation, Joint Capability Requirements, Battle Space Awareness, Joint Targeting Capabilities, Multi-Partnership Environment Capabilities, and the versatile potential of Uncrewed Capabilities.
