How does the military cultivate grit? Training, leadership , and fostering a culture of perseverance and resilience. As Airmen, we fully embrace the need to be exceptional at our craft—our jobs—and how they relate to the primary mission of the unit. The book “Warrior Heart: The Foundation of Combat Readiness”, is about how grit comes into to play in combat. Air University’s Air Force Culture and Language Center took on the daunting task of the Resilience Research Task Force to educate future leaders on how resiliency affects everything we do as a force. This book is the culmination of the task force’s research. The primary outcome of building resilient leaders is the enhancement of the leader’s ability to effectively cope with stress, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain peak performance under pressure. Resilient leaders are better equipped to navigate the complexities and uncertainties of military operations, ensuring mission success and the overall readiness of their units. https://lnkd.in/e5tdMFtm #TrueGrit #Resilience #CombatReadiness Air Education and Training Command United States Air Force Special Operations Command Europe USSOCOM The Joint Staff

To achieve strategic success in any organization, leaders must first and foremost idealize and communicate a clear vision. This unambiguous demand signal must come from the top of the organization to identify and support the concepts, themes, and attributes necessary to achieve the required effects and objectives. Then, focused gap analysis can occur, and subsequent capability development and refinement of operations and tactics can flow forward with increasing efficiency toward achieving the vision. Keep going Marines! https://lnkd.in/g8RcpdXt

In the late 1980s, the British Army radically redesigned the way decisions were made and how officers were empowered. A new system was introduced: Mission Command, which would now be called agile, was all about giving people the tools to make rapid decisions in order to disrupt the enemy.
