Last week, I wrote a post about goal setting. You may have a lot of ideas, but I recommend choosing “One Big Goal” that is related to your word of the year for 2025. 𝐁𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭. If you try to focus on more than one goal, you end up dividing your attention between the two goals. You may make progress toward both of them, but it will be much slower and you may run out of energy. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩? For inspiration, past Leadership Evolution Program participants have chosen to: 1 - Speak up and share ideas twice during meetings. 3 - Become a more active listener. 4 - Cultivate a more psychologically safe culture. When choosing your One Big Goal, choose something that is a stretch for you and makes you uncomfortable. Once you have chosen your One Big Goal, share that commitment with your team. By doing so, you include them in your efforts, build trust, and show them that we all have something to work on to better ourselves. Back to my question: What is One Big Goal that will most impact your leadership? #GoalSetting #LeadershipSkills #GTownCoach
