As I prepare to hand over the reins in January 2025, here's what 2024 showed me about our industry's resilience and evolution: The exhibitions industry isn't just recovering - it's transforming. Our latest data shows venue capacity growing 2.2% globally, with Asia-Pacific overtaking Europe in total space for the first time. We're seeing fundamental shifts in how our industry operates and grows. Three standout moments that capture this year's spirit: 1. Our UFI Global Congress in Cologne matched Shanghai 2016 as our largest ever. Beyond the numbers, it showed how we blend tradition and innovation - from Bach in the cathedral to next-gen leaders shaping our future. https://lnkd.in/dtVnbtUD 2. Meeting Thailand's Prime Minister with 22 global exhibition leaders demonstrated how our industry is increasingly recognized as a strategic economic driver. These aren't just meetings - they're commitments to our industry's future. 3. Launching UFI's first Americas Conference in Monterrey proved that regional growth creates global opportunities. When we connect markets, we accelerate progress. What I'm proudest of? Seeing the UFI team evolve into what is hands down our strongest lineup ever.
