I’m excited to be in Barcelona this week for #TheNTWKSummit, which is taking place on May 28th-29th.  This Summit has grown rapidly to become Europe's top summit for platform & ecosystem innovation, gathering many of Europe top companies, platform leaders, practitioners, and scholars.  Over the past decade, platforms have emerged as powerful businesses. In Europe, platforms have been criticized as "gatekeepers" that control access to market opportunities. However, the truth is they are far more impactful as "gate openers." Platforms unlock tremendous value by reducing transaction costs, improving discoverability, and enabling powerful network effects. This is not just true for traditional linear business transactions, but increasingly for circular models that extend product lifespans and close resource loops. Platforms open the gates to new markets, new customers, new partnerships, and new innovative business models that would be extremely difficult to access through traditional means. We are very excited to announce the second edition of Techarena Zero, an international tech and sustainability event on October 23 in Stockholm! This is our most ambitious effort to date to create a forum and platform for bringing together leaders from different industries to discuss solutions and opportunities in the sustainable transition. 700 decision makers including business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, politicians, and experts will gather to network, get inspired, and discuss ways to ZERO some of the biggest  challenges to society. A great achievement for ENoLL!   On May 30th 2024, more than 100 experts and stakeholders from all around Europe have gathered in Brussels to explore the pivotal role of Living Labs in two of the most important initiatives for European Research and Innovation: Missions and Partnerships.    💡The ENoLL event "Living Labs in EU Missions and Partnerships" underlined the importance of Living Labs as innovative real-life ecosystems that drive forward the #EU goals through active collaboration and citizen involvement, being social innovation at their core focus.   During the event, discussions focused on how much the European innovation landscape has been growing during the last years through the contribution of #LivingLabs, underlining their strategic use in fostering cross-sectorial collaboration for more sustainable practices.   We are truly fascinated by the valuable insights gathered throughout the event, which concluded with a strong call for enhanced collaboration and regional focus to ensure practical community involvement. 🌟 Reflecting on an Incredible 2024 in the Exhibition Industry 🌟 As we wrap up 2024, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement as I look back on a year that was nothing short of remarkable for the exhibition industry. This year has been a journey of growth, learning, and connecting with passionate professionals from around the world. 2024 was a year that challenged us to adapt to new trends, embrace innovative technologies, and deliver exceptional experiences to attendees and exhibitors alike. One of the most inspiring developments has been the growing focus on sustainability. More and more, the exhibition industry is prioritizing eco-friendly practices, from sustainable booth designs to energy-efficient event production. It’s exciting to see how the industry is reducing its carbon footprint and leading the way in sustainability, which will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on how we approach events in the future. It is clear that our lifestyles require some bold changes. But why does it seem so hard? Perhaps what we lack is not information but imagination.    Phoebe Tickell is a systems thinker and the founder of the organisation Moral Imaginations. She believes that the vast majority of our challenges are not resource problems, but imagination problems, and that imagination is a muscle that can be flexed to change the way we see – and act. Moral imagination is the capacity to believe that things can, and must, be different.   Join us to learn, imagine and connect with others in this online workshop facilitated by Tickell.
