What's under your slab is just as important as the slab itself. You may think that under your garage floor is a deep layer of just concrete. But what you don't see looks a little like this: A base rock (3/4 inch gravel), a vapor barrier (the thin plastic sheet you see here), and rebar (2ft on center). "Why?" You may ask: It's as simple as this, without the proper foundation, the ground may not be able to support the weight you place on top. Which in most cases, can lead to major cracks in your concrete. That's why we take the time to lay it right, every time.
