This letter studies the joint energy and #signal-#to-#interference-#plus-#noise (#SINR)-based coverage probability in #Unmanned #Aerial #Vehicle (#UAV)-assisted #radio #frequency (#RF)-powered #Internet #of #Things (#IoT) networks. The UAVs are spatially distributed in an aerial corridor that is modeled as a one-dimensional (1D) #binomial #point #process (#BPP). By accurately capturing the #line-#of-#sight (#LoS) probability of a UAV through large-scale fading: i) an exact form expression for the energy coverage probability is derived and ii) a tight approximation for the overall coverage performance is obtained. Our new research at RMIT explores the integration of UAVs into cellular networks, focusing on interference challenges and coverage optimization. We assess the relationship between Matérn repulsion distance and interference evaluation with the Poisson Point Process, propose a simplified method for evaluating UAV-to-cellular interference in low-density urban areas, and develop a model to predict optimal UAV flight altitudes. Hello Linkedin, 🚀 Excited to share my final year bachelor's project: a Meteorological Data Collection Drone! 🌤️ I built a hexacopter equipped with: Raspberry Pi for onboard computing Air quality sensor (PM2.5/PM10) BME280 for humidity and temperature UVM 30A for UV index Webcam for capturing images 4G modem for unlimited range telemetry I integrated computer vision and transfer learning using ResNet-18 to predict weather conditions (rainy, foggy, snowy, sunny, and cloudy) based on captured images. I also developed a mobile app to visualize real-time and historical data. This project combines UAV technology, IoT, and machine learning for detailed weather analysis. Our new paper is now online for open access: Spatial digital twin framework for overheight vehicle warning and re-routing system https://lnkd.in/g7dEB4vz Traditional warning systems haven't been effective, in this paper, we present an innovative digital twin prototype for Active Warning Alert and Re-routing System (AWARS). Here's what we did: -> Used LiDAR and 3D GIS to create a detailed 3D road model. -> Integrated 3D tree objects from aerial imagery. -> Connected the physical and virtual worlds with IoT for real-time alerts. -> Tested and validated re-routing impacts on travel times using live traffic data. Our paper entitled "Joint Energy and SINR Coverage Probability in UAV Corridor-assisted RF-powered IoT Networks" has been accepted for publication in IEEE Communications Letters and appears in IEEE Xplore. This letter studies the joint energy and SINR-based coverage probability in UAV-assisted RF-powered IoT networks. The UAVs are spatially distributed in an aerial corridor that is modeled as a one-dimensional binomial point process.
