I am Founding Member #67 of 93% Professionals and I highly recommend it for corporate membership and individual professionals. Corporate membership is obviously most helpful for the charity, and well done Slaughter and May for being one of the 93% Professionals Founding Member Firms 👏 What do I enjoy most about 93% Professionals? ✔️ The warm and active online Slack community where state-educated professionals both within their own sector and across sectors can chat and exchange ideas ✔️ The weekly round-up emails - love a bit of know-how and they are fun ✔️ Numerous and well-organised opportunities to meet in person There are many other benefits - see post below - but these are my favourites. Being a member of 93% Professionals also - obviously - sends a strong signal that state-educated talent is welcome where you work. Easy to forget that this isn’t always obvious to those looking in to high-prestige employers. Being a member of 93% Professionals works well for professionals of all ages and I personally think it would be GREAT for state-educated solicitor apprentices.. #StateSchoolProud Sophie Pender Fin Wright Imogen Carr Ellie Wardrope

Looking back on the last four decades of Advent serves as such a powerful reminder of just how far we’ve come on our journey. I’m proud of what we have accomplished together in this time, particularly our growth in Latin America, but I also believe this is just the beginning of what’s to come. Latin America’s economic growth trajectory is at an exciting point, and we are remarkably well positioned with our deep local sector expertise, vast network, and global reach.
40 years of growth. 40 years of partnership. 40 years of building our global scale and sub-sector expertise 🌎 As Advent marks its 40th anniversary, hear from our global team on our story so far and why we see an even more exciting future ahead:

If you’re looking for loss of medical insurance as a trainee pilot, Stein pilot insurance comes as a recommended supplier by many CAE Cadets! Loss of medical insurance will protect your training investment if you were to lose your class 1 medical during training. I’d encourage all Cadets to take it out. #pilottraining

🍾 🥳 4th Year Anniversary 🥳 🎉 Today marks my 4th anniversary at NFU Mutual and I honestly can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by and how much I’ve enjoyed it so far. I’ve been really lucky to have truly amazing teams that have been able to teach me so much and I think it’s that continued learning and challenge that makes me love it so much. It’s not all been plane sailing and as most of you know I think it’s important to share what I’ve learned as much as what’s gone well. So what have I learned? 1) Don’t rush in like a bull in a china shop. Building trust is so important and with one of my first teams, we’d asked the team what they wanted their roles to look like really early on and it went down like a lead balloon. They didn’t trust why we were asking and just didn’t get that they could be in charge of their own destiny at that stage. 2) No is probably the most important word. It was too easy to say yes to everyone at the start and that was a mistake. We grew our backlog a little too quickly and started to have custom solutions for teams rather than building repeatable patterns. Saying no or when priority work comes in, making sure we drop other work, protects the team from burn out. 3) Build a strong network. For the first couple of years I thought I was too busy to network and that the teams performing really well was enough. I was wrong. It’s massively important to build up that peer and senior stakeholder network early on. It makes it easier to understand what’s happening around the business / division and opportunities will present themselves. Thanks for reading all.

Well, we're officially halfway through January and I haven't written a New Year's post. I realize that no one really cares about my “2024 update,” per se, but 2024 has been such a monumental year that I feel compelled to share a few insights. Over the past few years (2020–23), the churn of a global pandemic, several personal tragedies, and career changes had me feeling like I was barely treading water in life. This past year, however, truly turned things around for me and helped me clarify goals and priorities for the years ahead. If you happen to feel like you’re treading water, keep going and look for opportunities to follow new currents—you might just find fresh inspiration and productivity.🌊 With a heart full of gratitude, I want to highlight a few aspects that made 2024 shine for me: 1.) FAMILY: Chris and I worked hard to build the right support team to help our family overcome some challenges. I’m so grateful for his partnership and support throughout the year. Anyone who knows me well understands that’s not an easy task!🙃 2.) WORK: Work is such an essential part of the human experience, and this year, I was proud and inspired every day to be part of our incredible team at Camp4 Collective. The level of talent, professionalism, collaboration, and sheer grit everyone poured into our work was so motivating. I can’t wait to keep the momentum going in 2025. We’ve got a lot of exciting news and projects to share soon, so stay tuned!✨ 3.) HEALTH: This summer, I ran seven Wasatch Trail Series races and the Moab Trail Half Marathon. While I’ve always been a runner, competition has taken a backseat since becoming a mom. It felt amazing to set a consistent schedule of healthy challenges and fun.💨 I can’t wait to catapult into 2025 with more energy and purpose. I wish you all a wonderful year of hope, creativity, productivity, and joy. 🎉 https://lnkd.in/g-VhCT8H

The right people are what truly make an organization. When you have a team that shares the same values and commitment, it’s not just the work that gets done—it’s the culture that’s built.
As we wrapped up another year, our annual Christmas dinner was the perfect moment to reflect on the incredible people who make this journey so worthwhile. It’s not just the work we do. It’s how we do it. Every day, you bring your best. Whether it’s finding the right answers for our clients, tackling challenges with integrity, or simply supporting one another, your dedication shines through. You make this company what it is, and I couldn’t be more proud or more grateful. Thank you for the care, effort, and thoughtfulness you bring to everything you do. It’s a privilege to work alongside you. Here’s to celebrating this season and all the amazing things we’ll achieve together in the year ahead! 🎄🎉
