World Vision Malawi’s Post

Vice President Dr Michael Usi attended the Lean Season Maize Distribution in Chikwawa District, where he called for fairness and transparency in food relief efforts. At the distribution center, 961 bags were distributed to 961 households. This marks the second round of maize distributions, targeting 85,441 households in Chikwawa alone. In this cycle, 1,424.95 metric tonnes have been distributed, representing 33% of the total target of 4,272 metric tonnes. With 5.7 million Malawians affected by El Niño, the World Food Programme, in partnership with World Vision Malawi, is committed to supporting those affected by El Niño including children.
