Youth social action has the power to make a difference in communities for all people. UK Youth's Inspire project is a key example of this and certainly a Game Changer. It used national and local events as a springboard for young people to design positive activities for their own communities, bridging community divides and giving young people a voice. There were key recommendations for events organisers to help generate youth social action from Inspire. 🌟 Directly fund grassroots organisations to reach underrepresented young people 🌟 Prioritise development time and multi-year funding to build legacy 🌟 Allow flexibility in delivery and protect budget for young people’s ideas 🌟 Build ‘events-based’ social action into guidance and training 🌟 Integrate ‘team-based’ social action into youth social action modelling 🌟 Build on existing approaches to evaluating youth social action Read the evaluation in full here: https://lnkd.in/eY4WQJR7 #NationalLottery30 #ThanksToYou #StillWeRise #IWillWeek The National Lottery Community Fund Youth Cymru Youth Scotland YOUTH ACTION NORTHERN IRELAND LIMITED British Red Cross

To address the root causes of problems facing children and youth, Global Fund for Children grassroots partners in the ARC initiative are learning how to listen to each other, themselves, and their communities. Supported by WE Trust and Seamont Foundation, ARC is currently centered on enabling stronger community- and youth-led action in Bangladesh, India, and Nepal. In the past, the ARC partners have worked on a variety of child-focused issues, often in line with the priorities of funders or their own organizational goals. Now the community, including children and youth, will decide what direction these partners take. This is community-owned action in practice. We Alokito Kori are proud partners in Bangladesh currently working on the CLCP approach encourages communities to take ownership of the challenges they face and to design, implement, and assess a response to these challenges.

How to ensure youth volunteerism in the rescue field and helping to cope different disasters? 🆘 🔴 Participating should be easy: It should be possible for a young people to participate without being a member of an organisation or a group. 🔴 Plan activities together with young people: Good way to support volunteerism is to engage volunteers planning activities together with authorities. 🔴 Hear the views of young people: Young people can and are willing to participate in different kinds of civil protection activities and the voices of young volunteers are to be heard in planning activities. 🔴 Provide training and support: Youth potential in preparedness should be strengthened by providing youth education, training and support and by promoting youth volunteerism and young people’s skills in communication. It is also important to have a designated person responsible for guiding young volunteers to their tasks. Read more in the recommendations gathered by the BYFORES (Baltic Youth for Resilient Society) project: https://spek.fi/en/byfores We have partnered this project, facilitating the interaction of youth representatives from Lithuanian Red Cross/Lietuvos Raudonasis Kryžius, Lietuvos skautija (Lithuanian Scouts) and Lietuvos šaulių sąjunga with their counterparts from across the Baltic Sea region. “Beginning in 2022, we adopted a new grantmaking approach that refocuses our support on grantees that restructure systems standing in the way of social, racial, and economic justice for our priority communities—Native Americans, communities of color, immigrants, refugees, and people in rural areas. One way that shift of approach appears in our grantmaking is through a significant increase in general operations grants, funds that aren’t tied to a specific program or initiative. Instead, grantees can use funding for activities they perceive will best advance their short- or long-term goals—it’s a more just and equitable way to provide funding.” Q4 and 2022 Grants: Native Voices Rising and General-Op Grants Fuel Justice

Olivier Camino this is good and 3 tips for Foundever 1. Get Foundever away from IEX as it is too costly and manpower to run that is also very expensive, be open for other options, its 2024 don't be old to try something new 2. Get yourself some fresh leaders, fresh and bold view will truly help to improve the brand other wise the loss will continue and Tasksus, CNX and other players will kill it. 3. Focus on Workforce management, Marketing and Strategy with a unique approach- If you think the money is well spent, then think again. Bonus: Keep a fix margin of profit, but focus on amazing customer experience, cut the cost in leaders and not the basic manpower. invest in tech that would reduce your dependency on manual reporting. Too much use of excel Cheers & I'm always there for consulting 😉
