State of AI, June 2024: Scale AI has collated a bunch of affirming and obvious statistics about the state of AI adoption. I don't think there was a single graph that surprised me in this document outside of: • 38% of respondents having generative AI models in production..really? Does ChatGPT count? Interact with AI as you would with a human being. Both have biases and make mistakes (‘called hallucinations in the case of AI). What would you do with a human being? You would question them, challenge their claims, and present your knowledge or point of view. Do the same with AI! In the attached discussion, ChatGPT says I'm right when I'm still wrong on the second try, but nevertheless, it provides the correct answer. It’s an important takeaway here: just as with human beings, you don't need to have proper knowledge to discuss with AI. P.S.: When writing this post, I discovered I have never come across a hallucination. Maybe the reason is that I didn’t question some assumptions enough to identify them... #ai

Yesterday's World Wide Developer Conference unveiled Apple Intelligence, prompting Elon Musks X post: "If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation." Everyone will now have AI capability in their pocket, making our conversation with our customer, Heathrow, even more relevant.
