Dr Shelley Stiles Stiles gave an online presentation for the IIRSM – South East Branch, entitled “Benefits of virtual reality as a health and safety training intervention”. During this presentation Shelley shared the experience of working in partnership with Forward Slash Films delivering 360safeVR training programmes for over 8 years. This included the different types of VR content available and their application for health and safety training, alongside feedback from learners, and the evidence to support positive improvements in safety incident rates. For the majority of learners attending the 360safeVR no no m training sessions (72%!) have never worn a headset before, therefore this still remains an area of untapped opportunity across the construction sector.
