As I was sweeping the gravel from a winter's worth of snow in our garage, I reflected on the ways that springtime invites us to look with fresh eyes on our surroundings. (was that a brown recluse?! 🕷️) This reminded me to turn my eyes towards looking at my own Communications Spring Cleaning. 👀 🧹 🌷 It never fails to surprise me how quickly our messaging gets outdated. (Just like the faded seat cushions for our deck chairs) This is your sign to spend an hour this week, reviewing your appointment reminder emails! ⚠️ Here's what to check in your appointment messaging: ✅ Broken image links ✅ Outdated URL links ✅ Excessive wordiness ✅ Old photos ✅ Incorrect pre-visit instructions ✅ Outdated CTAs ✅ Directions for Zoom, office location, parking ✅ Pre-visit instructions ✅ Emergency cancellation instructions Although spring cleaning does give a quick burst of dopamine, be sure to remind yourself that it's all relative. You have complete permission to show up in all the off-seasonal ways: 🍂 messy fall ❄️ hermit winter ☀️ blazing summer You are growing in imperfect, non-chronologic ways to carve your unique path! As Catalysts, we give ourselves permission to prioritize self-expression, curiosity and creativity as vital, and I hope you give yourself permission to color outside the lines as well! #SpringCleaning #FreshStart #CommunicationsAudit #UpdateYourMessaging #DigitalCleanUp #MessagingMatters #HealthcareCommunications #SpringIntoAction #ClearTheClutter #ProfessionalGrowth #SeasonalReflections #ImperfectGrowth #UniquePath #PersonalDevelopment #HealthcareMarketing #PracticeManagement #CleanSlate #RenewAndRefresh #MessagingTips #SeasonalChanges

Oi, here's the lowdown on some unspoken office rules that'll keep you savvy in the corporate jungle: 2/ Ring someone up twice and no answer? Chill out, they’re probably slammed. Don’t be that person blowing up their blower all day. 3/ If someone's singing your praises for something your mate did, set the record straight. Share the glory, yeah? 4/ Say what you mean, mean what you say, and only pipe up when it's proper necessary. Keeps the confusions to a minimum. 5/ Someone’s treating you to a bite or a pint? Don’t be cheeky—skip the priciest grub on the menu. 6/ Got a cracking idea? Suss out who’s the kingpin who can make it happen. 7/ Keep your personal chinwags and your munch away from your desk. Keep it profesh. 8/ Keep your personal calls scarce at your desk. Don’t be the one who can’t park their home life at the door. 9/ Document every single thing you’re on. Cover your back, always. 10/ Have a slick spiel about yourself ready to roll. Make your intro count—show off who you are and what you ace at. And the number: 1/ Got the hump? Zip it. Silence is golden when you’re fuming. Best way to dodge drama. 📌Stick these in your back pocket for later, mate! They’re golden.

Studies show it takes 30 days to make a new habit. You have to do something consistently for a month before it begins to come naturally. Incorporate these habits this year: Stay on top of your email inbox. Declutter your office weekly. Avoid routines that are really just time wasters. Never do something simply because that’s the way it’s always been done. Let us know how it’s going.
