As the new year approaches and resolutions start taking shape, here’s something to think about: Make room for one resolution that isn’t about 𝘺𝘰𝘶. ✅ Donate if you can—money can move mountains for those who need it most. ✅ Volunteer your time—it’s often more valuable than any cheque. ✅ Share your experiences—because your journey could inspire someone to change their own. It’s not about grand gestures. It’s about showing up, even in small ways, for those less privileged than you. This one isn’t about tech, or Ascent, or scaling businesses. But sometimes, it’s okay for it not to be. Here’s to a 2025 that makes an impact—on others and on you! 🌟

🔦 In April, we shine a light on giving back to local communities and outline the benefits to business that harness social corporate responsibility. 🌱 MWM Advisory are always giving back to their community by supporting local business and not-for-profit organisations looking after those in need. 💚 🌱 By supporting local initiatives, not only can businesses crate positive impacts, but in effect, this activity also helps stimulate economic growth within communities. This might include supporting local sports clubs, sponsoring educational programs, or making regular donations to local not-for-profit organisations helping in social issues your business is passionate to help improve. 💚 🌱 A thriving community can create a better environment for doing business, with a stronger local economy benefiting all residents and businesses alike. 💚

Non-profits can drive social change at system level because most of their operations are channelled at those at the grassroot level. They drive change by the share nature of encouraging the average and under-represented to aspire for more. In doing this, social exposures are inevitable and these organisations via their varying programs are able to seamlessly penetrate into conventional and unconventional social systems and transform them into life changing endeavours. This can be seen in endeavours like food banks, social outreaches, health drives, fundraising, etc.

Deep engagement is more likely to lead to investment. Why? P: It gathers people around a Purpose. P: It is Participatory, so everyone has a say. R: It happens on a Recurring interval, which is how relationships are formed. I: It Identifies leaders, so that you can increase your reach. P.P.R.I. What does this look like? Think of how you organized your latest event. Did you involve a group of volunteers to help design it? Was there adequate discussion about what the goals of the event were and how to achieve them? Did this group meet regularly? Did you identify those who raised their hands to help more and did you equip them with the tools so they could do so? Which type of event do you think will create a better fundraising environment: one with such a group and process behind it or one where you did all the work and then sent out the invitation to your unsuspecting constituents? #fundraising #donorengagement
