🤓 What? So What? Now What?: The Case for Growth
What? Business and brand performance indicators are expanding at unprecedented levels, yet growth remains a top priority. Growth is perhaps the only consistent KPI for enterprises throughout history. Sustainable top-line and bottom-line expansion is undoubtedly at the forefront of business agendas. Importantly, today’s growth acknowledges a broader group of stakeholders and embraces a more responsible and human side.
So What? There is no one-size-fits-all formula for growth. This is quite obvious by now. Moreover, the expiration date for any growth strategy keeps getting shorter as consumers, channels, regulations, and the world we live in become more efficient and continually seek new disruptions.
Sustainable growth is not about the answers; it’s about the questions.
Now What? Given that reality is always changing, we believe that a disciplined approach to three fundamental questions is essential for brands and businesses aiming for sustained growth:

J: Tracksmith is an American running apparel brand with a classic yet modern approach to running. It represents the best of "classic meets the future" and "modern heritage" that I've seen in recent times. The brand's smart proposition and approach to brand building tap into an active lifestyle culture, blending high quality, great design, and a flawless shopping experience, both online and offline. Additionally, their strategy to build a strong brand community around their stores in the US and UK is brilliant.
N: Loop Earplugs, a pioneering startup, that combines cutting-edge technology with user-centric design to provide innovative hearing protection. Their customizable earplugs cater to various needs, from festival-goers to those with sensory issues. Their proposal, communication style, and product design are very attractive.

J: Growth by Daniel Susskind. A thought-provoking approach to economic growth.
N: The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company - This is the second time I've read it, and it contains invaluable stories and lessons in leadership and strategy from Disney's CEO, drawn from his 15 years at the company.
3. Best career advice...
J: Deliver the basics and then excel. Always deliver more than is expected.
N: You don't need to stay in the same job forever. If your job doesn't motivate you, figure out why and create a plan to change it.
4. What's the habit you've built that you are most proud of?
J: Reading a book a week. Reading expands your reality from all possible angles, and I find profound value in constantly feeding myself with books written by the great minds of today and yesterday.
N: Journaling every morning and expressing gratitude daily is a habit I consider essential.
