#1 The first one
Hey you!
Welcome to the very first What’s cookin’? monthly newsletter for the nordic collabspace.
I guess this is therapy for me, a place to structure and collect my own takeaways from the month. So. Welcome to my couch camaradas, I really hope this will serve you value 🤜🏽🤛🏽

1. Product news
Jabra PanaCast Meet Anywhere
This is a brand new bundle from Jabra combining the conference speaker Speak 750 with PanaCast, all wrapped up in a sweet travel case. My immediate reaction to this bundle: this is how PanaCast was meant to be sold!
It looks really nice and the price point is heavily reduced with the MSRP being 575 EUR excl. VAT. A meeting room in a box, with a really friendly price tag!
IsiCom Nordic is posting information on this bundle monday 11th april. Stay alert! 🧐
Konftel Cam20 Auto focus & Zoom certified
Konftel recently released a software update enabling Cam20 a very welcome feature: auto framing. I can tell you that this feature works just as one would expect. Not too fast (no car sickness), and with a smooth motion.
On top of this, Konftel released the news that the very same camera just got certified for Zoom. So...a professional 4K camera with 120 degrees FOV, auto framing AND zoom certification for 250 EUR. Nuff said.
What's up in the Teams factory?
Andreas Adolfsson, Teams technical specialist at Microsoft, always makes sure I don't miss the latest news on Microsoft Teams updates. Thank you for that Andreas!
Check it out for yourself. I can tell you that the list of updates goes oooooooooon 👌.
Loads of new features from Zoom
Check out all the new fun stuff coming out of Zooms latest update. Avatars, video messaging, livestreaming to twitch and a lot of Zoom events features are some examples.
2. Demos
Poly spaces
Poly Spaces is truly a neat tool that makes life easier for everyone.
If you would have asked me for installation schematics on a Windows based Teams Room system a month ago I would have ghosted you. Ask me today and it's going to be a different story 😜.
Poly Voyager Focus 2
I love product demos with real life situations in focus. This demo from Lars Berlau really shows the magic of Focus 2 in a classic challenging day-to-day situation.
PanaCast 20
This is a really cool demo of PanaCast 20! It's actually the best one I've seen on this type of camera. See in detail how every single feature on this camera performs, and WHY the features are there in the first place.
I picked this one up through a share from Danielle Moore, Marketing Manager Video at Jabra. Thank you for the post Danielle!

3. Talks
Vi snackar video - BAR vs BORD (swedish w/o subs)
Me and my AV specialist colleague Boris Skoow continues to talk about video. This time we are discussing videobar solutions and comparing them to solutions with audio devices placed on the table.
What is Climate neutral? (swedish w/o subs)
Why has Konftel decided to get their products Climate Neutral certified and most importantly of all: what the hell does it mean? 🤷🏽♂️
4. Inspiration
Rethink your meeting rooms
Annie Petersson from Exobe is spot on with this article. Remote participants lead the way in terms of audio and video quality.
In order for the meeting rooms to stay relevant, they need to catch up and they definately need to focus more on the remote participants. 💡
5. Industry news
HP acquires Poly!
Last week I was contemplating about what to eat for lunch, when I suddenly got struck by the massive lightning that was this news. BIG news.
It’s very interesting to hear HP CEO Enrique Lores break down the company’s acquisition of Poly for $1.7 billion. What’s the motivation behind this acquisition and how will they get Poly to the targeted 15% annual growth rate?
6. Hack of the month!
Sideton FTW
This is a feature many people are aware of but one that very few have tested.
I use Jabra Evolve2 85 daily. It's an over the ear style stereo headset with ANC that protects me from hearing my surroundings. However when I'm in a longer call where I speak a lot, I tend to get tired and almost a little dizzy. That's because I barely hear my own voice.
Last week I gave sidetone a chance. Immediately when I activated it, I knew there is no turning back from this. It really makes a world of difference!
For Jabra headsets you can find it in the smartphone app Sound+ or the desktop app Jabra Direct. For Poly headsets it's in the desktop app Lens.
That's it for now!
If you want to share something, I am here. If you want to connect, my arms are wide open.
Please have a great month, hope to see you soon! 💎
Be safe
