The #1 Reason You've Hit A Plateau

Have you hit a plateau when it comes to your fat loss or muscle building results?

If you have, there are a few reasons why this could have happened.

Spoiler alert, one of them is NOT "starvation mode". In fact, this does not even exist.

I believe this term was made up by personal trainers too lazy to give their clients proper nutritional guidance, so they could keep them coming to the next session. Anyway...

There are only 2 things you need to worry about when it comes to getting lean or building muscle if we really boil it down.


Inputs and outputs. That's it. Let me clarify these, so we are on the same page.

Inputs : The amount of calories consumed

Outputs : Your metabolism, your activity, your workouts, the thermic effect of food.

If you are NOT losing fat and your goal is fat loss, then your inputs are not low enough in comparison to your outputs.

This is how I see most health journeys going, no matter what the goal. Let me know if it sounds familiar...


1. You try a diet method that worked for someone you know or came across online

2. You pick up a gym membership and start going, your directionless, but you're showing up or following something from YouTube.

3. You give it 4 weeks or so and have made some progress, because going from doing nothing to something get's you a result.

4. 4-6 weeks in and you have hit a plateau. Nothing seems to be improving or changing, so you start to question yourself . "Am I wasting my time here?" , "Why am I bothering?".

5. Motivation stalls, you start to think "What's the point?". 1 session drops, bad habits start to creep in and you are back to square 1 before you know it and actually worse off.

This is very common.

The reason this happens in my opinion is lack of proper structure.

Proper structure requires a plan for 5 key areas. Your calories, your protein, your steps, your workouts and your sleep.

It also means a realistic, enjoyable and sustainable method to hit the targets laid out for each of these.

Create a plan based around these 5 core elements and you will not need to worry about your health ever again.
