1 Simple (but not so easy step) to reaching potential
I heard a quote recently which really got me thinking, “Own your failure and share your success”.
It’s a simple quote but it struck me in that moment as very profound. I think in part because it’s not so simple at all. As human beings we often refuse to acknowledge our failures, and hide them in the deepest, darkest spot in our brain so they won’t hurt us. At minimum we might consider the failure and blame it on something that we have no control over. Either way this failure if not addressed directly and honestly will continue to rear its ugly head time and time again until we identify and own it allowing us to move through it and become stronger because of it.
As we conclude what I hope was a successful and joyful year for each of you, don’t be afraid to evaluate failures as a means to finding positive change in your life and business. I wish all of you a successful 2018 and hope that we all make a positive impact on the world around us.
Helping others have a better future
6yI completely agree with your quite Julie Campbell, I have learnt as a leader that when the team fails I take all the blame but when we are successful I give them all the credit.
