10 Ways to Hack Your Productivity and Avoid Burnout

10 Ways to Hack Your Productivity and Avoid Burnout

Have you ever had something horrific almost happen to you that got your nervous system...well, kind of nervous?

A couple of night ago, I was driving to my evening salsa class. As I approached the intersection, the light was about to turn red, so I sped up to get through it in time.

As I crossed the intersection, I could see a motorcycle driver and his passenger have the same thought as me! (Yes, I am a mind reader). He wanted to make a left turn before the light turned red for him as well.

So there I was going straight while this guy decided at the last second to cross in front of me. I remember thinking to myself in that moment, "I'm about to kill two people." Not only couldn't I stop the car, neither one of them was wearing a helmet.

Luckily for us all, he swerved to go behind my car with seconds to spare.

No, I didn't kill anyone, but that driver sure got my adrenaline going. I took some deep breaths, expressed my gratitude for being safe, and then went off to dance.

Crazy how the unexpected can sometimes lead to intense moments of stress.
