11 Places That Project Your Unique Leadership Value

11 Places That Project Your Unique Leadership Value

Are you projecting your value on LinkedIn that a viewer sees in the first 3 seconds?

1.Beginning with your professional image.

2.Then the headline-- how you describe yourself and the value offered.

3. Identifying a focused expertise on your LinkedIn Banner.

PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU PROJECT:

Companies have access to a wide variety of technology and external talent that are specialists in their field. Competition is stiff. You have to be more courageous and creative.  Ultimately, the ones that share their value will get the opportunities so it's time to stand out---right from the beginning.

EVERYTHING counts. Otherwise, you sound and look like everyone else.

Finding your next role through a mediocre presentation means you are LUCKY. Most likely, you also won't have many interesting choices. What does that mean for you?

Companies are doing "more with less", so being mediocre will hinder your career performance and advancement.  But if you are willing to make some small changes, you'll be recognized for your contributions and impact that grow the company, and engage customers, partners and colleagues.

11 PLACES THAT PROJECT YOUR UNIQUE LEADERSHIP VALUE

You'll have choices in your career when you your value and market that value.  Move away from being a generalist because it's your expertise that needs to be front and center.

These qualities count---how you present yourself visually and in the way you communicate.

• RESUME, Do you market yourself as a high value professional?

• PROFILE, Does every aspect show your expertise and professionalism?

• HEAD SHOT, Does your image depict a confident leader?

• HEADLINE, Does your headline message describe your unique expertise?

• ABOUT, Is your messaging clear on how you impact business growth?

• POSTS, Do you create influential, specialized content in different formats?

• ENGAGEMENT, Are you engaging with the content of others?

• NETWORKING, Are you actively networking?

• CONNECTIONS, Do you have a big network?

• CAREER DEVELOPMENT, is an obvious investment you make in yourself.

 Which brings me to #11.

If you take your online presence seriously, then certainly #11 is how you present yourself as a leader in your VERBAL COMMUNICATION.

When people meet you, are you able to be the expert, confident, and charismatic leader that's projected in your resume and profile?
