#13 Best 10 ways To Survive Office Life In A Modern Civilisation

Do you feel stressed, on edge and food cravings out of this world?

Welcome to your reptile brain. It's now the boss in the house. You probably understand, that it wasn't a good idea to overreact to the comment from a harmless person, to eat the 5th cookiey, scream or even break out in tears.

So why that?

You deserve it. Whenever you made a decision to reward yourself, it is hard to get away from it, because there's always a good reason. Finished with that you feel even better. For the moment. Probably you regret a little bit, what you've said 10min ago and contemplate to excuse you. Eventually.

You deserve it. You are working day and night - on whatever it may be and you deserve results. But sometimes it's getting worse. And no results. Work isn't ending, instead there's more coming on your plate, you're having a meeting shortly, the telefon rings constantly and you see your last chance escaping early in your well deserved evening time disappear. Does this happen the last couple of days, weeks....?

Survival Mode ON.

No time for health, for your training, high quality eating, time for you, time for doing nothing (I call this recovery 100%) Brain off.

That is what you deserve, but your brain demands salt, sugar and fat. Serotonine. Feeling better immediately.

What happens in your body is exactly this: Blood pressure increases, breath rates quickens and the body is getting into heightend panic. All the noradrenaline and other friendly stress hormons want you to run, to fight or even to move in an appropriate way. Women mostly do, what evolution expects: they freeze (not capable to make any decisions).

What can you do to turn your stress level into something useful:

  • Don't let the stress take over the entire day
  • Take more little time out breaks during the day
  • Reward yourself with daylight (5min at least to get out of the office)
  • Learn how to breath and focus on your breath
  • Stretch yourself as many times as you can during your (sitting) day
  • Smile - if there's nothing to laugh about, place a pencil between your teeth (min. 1min)
  • Do a power nap (max.20min) .......maximum!!!
  • Lower your heart rate with breathing: inhale & exhale count 8-12
  • Control your breath during exercising (activate your belly)
  • Focus on that things may be harder, so you're better prepared
  • Never give up
  • Lower your training intensity - not the quantity - to detox stress
  • Do something very boring alone - enjoy it

Keep doing that everyday so it's becoming common practice. If you're angry, be angry for 5min. Set an alarm and then focus on something else. Make yourself happy as often as possible.

Would you worry about the same things a week later? If not, laugh about it, so that you get a better breathing anyway ;-) because: love eats fear.

Balance your todays daily limitations with the maximum of a natural lifestyle!!!!
