The inaugural HR Professionals Summit & Awards, a landmark event celebrating outstanding contributions in Human Resources Management, was successfully held at Fiesta Royale Hotel, Accra. This prestigious event, organized by the HR Certification Centre, took place on Friday, 15th December 2023, under the theme: "Elevate HR: Bridging the Future."

The summit underscored the strategic importance of HR in driving business growth and technological integration for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency. The event was graced by Dr. I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng, Vice Chairman of Public Services Commission, as the keynote speaker, alongside a gathering of renowned business and HR leaders.

Pearl P. Tehoda, MBA, ChPA, CMP , Executive Director of HR Certification Centre, emphasized the transformative role of HR in shaping organizational landscapes. She highlighted the Centre's commitment to enhancing HR skills for future business demands and urged HR professionals to be proactive "Change Leaders."

Dr. (Mrs) Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng DBA, D.LITT (HC), MABR, MBA(HRM) , in her keynote address, urged HR practitioners to reflect on their value addition and to position themselves strategically for organizational growth. She emphasized the critical role of HR in aligning business strategies with people management for overall success.

Dr. Jeff Bassay shared the inspiring journey of HR Certification Centre, which has grown from 14 candidates to over 4,500 trained professionals, marking a significant milestone in HR education and practice.

Acknowledging Excellence

Margaret Jackson FLPI , chairperson of the Jury for the awards commended all nominees across various categories and encouraged HR practitioners to focus on effectiveness and excellence in their roles in the upcoming year.
