Great Speakers at Los Angeles Paralegal Association Conference this Saturday
Paralegals play a critical role in our justice system and their continuing education is essential to the many people who rely on their work. This year's Los Angeles Paralegal Association conference has many interesting speakers lined up on Saturday, October 11th at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
There are sessions on how to write an effective brief, entry level and advanced e-discovery, ethics and many talks on specific fields of law.
A sampling of the many speakers:
- Judge Holly J. Fujie, Family Law assignment in Department 87 in the Mosk Courthouse
- Tammy Metzger will discuss the many ways paralegals can help trial attorneys, including how to conduct jury selection (lunch keynote)
- Howard E. King will present a not to be missed seminar on IP
- Jim Gregory is a great speaker and I will attend his DUI MCLE (Jim is the first criminal defense attorney to be honored as Lawyer of the Year by the Criminal Justice Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association)
For information on the speakers, you can view LAPA’s September and July newsletters. Registration info is available here.
