One of the biggest challenges facing organizations today is the challenge of achieving the organizational commitment of its employees. It is known that in the times that run employees increasingly are more interested not only in obtaining a better monetary compensation, but, mostly looking for companies that offer knowledge, flexibility, collaborative work and companies who are aware of new technologies, that implement new policies and that are truly concerned for the well-being of the employee.

By definition, organizational commitment is the identification that has an employee with the organization for which you work and the desire to stay in it. Below I discuss some guidelines on how to engage employees with our Organization:

Recruitment and selection of talents: this is the first step towards the identification of the employee with the company; is important that candidates who we choose for various positions within our company have a suitable profile, i.e., people who have not only the knowledge necessary to do the job but that their capacities and competencies go hand with culture, the objectives and the Mission of our organization.

A good policy and a few clear guidelines about what needs our company in terms of recruiting the talent, they will always be key elements to achieve committed employees, minor disappointments empresa-empleado and vice versa, savings of money and lower turnover.

Compensatory and retributive package: is my salary package aligned with the needs of my employees? or is there a polarization in the way that I reward my employees? These are questions that should be done by the organization every time. The compensation package always will affect the attitude of the em
ployees towards the company.

It is proven as more uneven, minimum or exclusive is our salary package, lower organizational commitment will exist in the company. I have personally known companies with an extremely attractive salary package, but only for those employees who had certain conditions, such as being married or having children, while the other employees who were very young, single or with wages below you need to be able to acquire these benefits, only made up with get their monthly salary and nothing more. It is important that our benefits package is inclusive and homogeneous, that reach the largest number of employees possible.

Corporate culture: Promoting a culture of camaraderie and enjoy team work is another essential key to commitment. It is very important that employees feel identified and part of a group that is working under the same aims and goals.

Leaders must be the main involved in the achievement of a culture that supports the guidelines of the Organization among its employees. Activities that support to this achievement and strive to achieve it without pressures or impositions is essential.

Effective communication: The way that I use to communicate or simply do not communicate to my employees is essential. The prevention of transfer rumours, gossip and bad misunderstandings is accomplished by encouraging effective communication within the company. Top down and bottom up, communication must flow as water in new tube. Obviously, this does not mean that it should be given too much information, but one that is of interest and importance for the development of the daily activities of employees.

Development and growth policies: allocate a major Fund for education and development of employees is always good. Growth within the company must be accompanied by education, find talent inside before going outside should be paramount, employees feel valued and this will generate long term commitment. Those companies that know how to look at the potential of their employees and use it for growth always achieve high degrees of organizational commitment.

Committed employees are employees who work, who feel part of something big and that consequently generate more profits to the companies.

A company committed to its organizational and economic growth is a company that strives to keep its employees happy.
