1) Annina Nosei Donates Gallery Catalogues to Germano Celant Research Center

Annina Nosei, the gallerist who launched Jean-Michel Basquiat's career, has donated her gallery's catalogues to Magazzino Italian Art's Germano Celant Research Center. She also worked with artists like Keith Haring, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, and Robert Longo.

2) Laguna Art Museum Showcases Hockney, Warhol, and Basquiat

The Laguna Art Museum will feature works by Hockney, Warhol, and Basquiat until September 2024. The exhibition, "On The Edge: Los Angeles Art from The Joan and Jack Quinn Family Collection," captures the innovative spirit of contemporary Los Angeles art.

3) Banksy's "Leopard and Lamb" and Basquiat's 1982 Piece Up for Auction

Banksy's "Leopard and Lamb," once exhibited at the Walled Off Hotel, heads to auction at Phillips Hong Kong. Also on the block is Jean-Michel Basquiat's 1982 piece "Native Carrying Some Guns, Bibles, Amorites on Safari," valued at $11.5M to $15.4M. Christie's aims for success with Warhol's "Flowers" (1965), estimated at $8M to $12M, following a recent sale in New York.

4) Skopje Solidarity Collection Exhibition Highlights Modern Art Post-Earthquake

After the 1963 earthquake, Skopje rebuilt with international aid, creating a modern art museum housing the Skopje Solidarity Collection. The exhibition "No Feeling Is Final" features works by artists such as David Hockney and Alex Katz.

5) Warhol's Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace's "Royal Portraits"

Andy Warhol's famous portrait of Queen Elizabeth II will be exhibited alongside 150 other artworks from the 1920s at The King's Gallery at Buckingham Palace for the exhibition "Royal Portraits."

6) Museum of the Luigi Rovati Foundation: Etruscan Art Meets Modern Masters

What was once the palace of the Prince of Piombino in Milan is now the home to the new Museum of the Luigi Rovati Foundation, which tells the apex of Etruscan art in dialogue with contemporary artists, from Picasso to Warhol.
