3 Ways Middle-Aged Men Can Improve Their Health, Wealth & Relationships
Welcome to Renegade Man – The newsletter for middle-aged men who want to create lives of strength, abundance and purpose.
Every week, you'll get practical ideas for improving your health, wealth and relationships.
Here are today's three...
1). Health – Are you doing enough cardio?
Forget your bank balance or max bench-press, improving your cardiovascular fitness is about the biggest and best way to improve your chances of living a long and healthy life.
The NHS and World Health Organisation recommend between 150 and 300 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity per week (or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous activity).
A study published in The Lancet found that improvements in cardiovascular health reduce all-cause mortality by as much as 50%.
If you want to understand how and why cardio is so important, read this excellent article by Toby Swallow >>> Lifting weights and the effects on your heart.
Toby is a health, fitness and longevity mentor and his Linkedin posts about improving your strength, mobility and endurance are a must if you're serious about improving your health in your 40s, 50s and beyond.
If you haven't already, make sure you follow him.
2). Wealth – The path to F.U. Money...
In the words of the late, great Prince: "Money won't buy you happiness, but it'll pay for the search."
Being rich and miserable is better than being poor and miserable; because being poor and/or living beyond your means simply brings a whole host of additional stress.
One of the best books I've ever read on improving your financial situation and building genuine, leveraged wealth is 'Reset' by David Sawyer FCIPR , the director of Zude PR .
It's available on Amazon and Audible and is well-worth a read or listen. Highly recommended wherever you are on your financial journey.

3). Relationships – Surround yourself with the right people
It's possible to live a good live without a romantic partner but it's virtually impossible to live a good life without friends.
Social isolation has been linked to a 26% increase in the likelihood of early death, easily comparable to the risks associated with obesity or smoking.
Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is one of the best ways to make new friends, business connections and acquaintances.
Anthony Astbury is the founder of the Whole Man Academy which organises events, meet-ups and other resources for middle-aged men who want to reignite their lives.
If you're an ambitious, growth-focussed man. Drop him a line or take his quiz to identify the weak spots holding you back from success.
That's it for this week.
Until next time, onwards!
