#4: I am lazy and I procrastinate.
Hey ya!
As I write this week's newsletter, I just munched down half a bottle of almond butter Chinese New Year cookies (yums!).
Truth be told, I like to leave things to the LAST minute then go 100% full-on crazy obsessed mode to get it DONE.
So much so that I wake up around 8 AM daily and go "Hmmm... What do I feel like writing about on LinkedIn today?"
This is what usually happens:
7:30 AM my alarm rang. Then I snoozed it to 7:39 AM. Snoozed it to 7:48 AM. Snoozed it to 7:57 AM...
And now it's 8 AM - ish.
I was kind of embarrassed about this answer when my intern asked me: "What's your content creation process for your LinkedIn posts, Youtube videos and Spotify podcast?"
Erm... Last-minute?
When I HAVE HAVE HAVE to?
I am lazy and I procrastinate.
Has this ever happened to you?

^ This reflection was what inspired the topic of this week's newsletter.
Motivation is one of the biggest blocks that many working professionals face - whether it's becoming more productive at the workplace or to push forward with the job search.
The question is: WHY?
It was something on the back of my mind for most of January 2022 and I realised THIS.
When people try to tackle laziness with just motivational content, they get caught in a hamster wheel of "feeling good"- but never learning how to truly overcome procrastination.
It's a rah-rah thing.

I also shared multiple posts on LinkedIn to create awareness within my community:
One of my biggest goals this year is to stay CONSISTENT with my career content with daily/weekly posts - LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, Blog, Instagram, TikTok...
As Barney Stinson would say... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
For you, I want you to answer honestly:
^ Psst... before you answer this question, I want you to check out the video I shared on YouTube first!
