5 Signs Your Organization is AI Obsolete and need a new AI Mindset

Is Your Business Falling Behind?

I'm sure that the answer is yes.

I do not know if you listened to the The Talk That Vanished: Eric Schmidt's AI and Google Slip-up he is very involved on AI talks, even the government and the Pentagon use him as a advisor in how to use AI and Technology.

Many of us took the comment about WFH and Google; however, to me, the most important part is the velocity in witch AI is evolving and the huge impact that this will do on society.

what about your organization and leaders?

We're at a critical juncture in the AI revolution. Most organizations are trapped in a cycle of superficial implementation and unrealistic expectations.

and the majority is lost in the nimble seeing prompting or creating nice videos, or even worst, thinking as many do: This is another hype that will pass soon.

As always, I am here to help.

And now is to allow you to auto-evaluate.

Here are five signs your company urgently needs a new AI mindset:

  1. Superficial AI implementation: You're "patching" old processes with AI instead of reimagining them from scratch, focusing on your new strategy.
  2. Widening skills gap: There's a shortage of people who understand both your business and AI capabilities, but even more, people who understand how to solve your problems with AI.
  3. Unrealistic expectations: You're treating AI as a plug-and-play solution, ignoring the need for time, data, and patience. Preparation and culture change.
  4. Misaligned AI solutions: Your AI initiatives are either too complex or too simplistic for your actual needs.
  5. Lack of ROI understanding: You're applying AI without a clear grasp of its business benefits and return on investment.

There are clear solutions to these challenges:

  • Understand the AI values and Capabilities and how to apply it on your value chain.
  • Invest in your people. Don't replace them – retrain them. They possess the business knowledge AI needs.
  • Experiment purposefully by creating "AI labs" within your company.
  • Collaborate with startups and experts. Innovation often comes from outside.

Your action plan for today:

  1. Foster an AI-first mindset and culture in your company.
  2. Create safe spaces for AI experimentation.
  3. Define clear guidelines for individual and corporate AI initiatives.
  4. Develop an AI roadmap aligned with your business goals.
  5. Embrace a culture of continuous learning and iteration.

The "In Between" moment we're experiencing with AI isn't just a challenge—it's a unique opportunity.

Companies that act decisively now, investing in their people and reimagining their processes, will reap exponential benefits in the coming years.

The question isn't whether AI will revolutionize your industry, but whether you'll lead that revolution or struggle to catch up.
