5 Things on Friday #8 - EsriUC Tips Edition
Well hello again... yup, I know, it's been a little while since I rolled out my last "weekly" 5 Things update! Oops... besides being a little stressed, a bit anxious, and just downright busy, I guess I don't really have an excuse, but I will try to do better! So, let's do this.
1. ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Engine
Let's starp with something that's HOT off the presses. Today (July 24) Esri has released something for the data scientists out there - ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Engine - think big data, analytics, insights, and competitive advantage. Go beyond basic spatial analysis with immediate access to advanced statistical tools and specialized geoanalytics function. The product is a comprehensive library of spatial analytics that is native to Spark, a unified analytics engine for big data and machine learning. Learn more HERE and see also the official PR
2. ArcGIS Online, June 22 Update
UC is just around the corner, and that means updates, lots of technology updates! I'd be remiss if I didn't address the latest update to ArcGIS Online. Highlights in this latest release include feature layer previews, symbol layers in Map Viewer, new social sharing experience in ArcGIS Instant Apps, and more! What do I like here? Well, it's now a bit easier to discover, explore, and work with feature layer items in ArcGIS Online. When browsing content listings, you can quickly preview a feature layer’s sublayers and tables and see a list of associated fields via handy, drop down menu items (see image above). Learn more in this YouTube video and see also the must-read blog from Bern Szukalski. Can't wait to get started? Don’t have an ArcGIS account? See how to Create an ArcGIS Account.
3. EsriUC Digital Attendance
Recommended by LinkedIn
Can't get to San Diego to be with uis in-person? BAH, that sucks!! But, don't despair, Esri has you covered with a pretty awesome digital experience. What you need to know to attend the #EsriUC event online. Also, be aware that current maintenance subscribers received digital access to the event as part of their subscription! Note, the Monday plenary will be livestreamed and open for all to enjoy - be sure to invite your friends, family and colleagues! Join us virtually starting July 11, 2022 and check out the lengthy list of Hybrid sessions.
4. ArcGIS Monitor at EsriUC
ArcGIS Monitor collects data and information on the status, usage, availability, and resource utilization in your enterprise GIS deployment. It also provides alerts, email notifications, performance statistics, and reports for monitored systems and sites. Interested in learning more? If so, no worries as there's plenty to see and learn about Monitor if you happen to be going to EsriUC. If you're really keen to learn more you should also try to connect with Derek Law and be sure to read his blog.
5. Esri Partner Network at UC
Finally, a little bit of self promotion for my team. As many of you know, I've been in the position of Partner Community Manager with Esri's Global Partners & Alliances group for almost a year. An exciting part of my role is to create and foster engagement with our partners and the partner ecosystem at large (International distributors as well). With that, I'm involved in organizing Partner Central, our presence at User Conference. This area will be located at the far end (right side closest to the Marriott) along with the very cool and fun startup Zone where some 20 startup partners will be sharing their solutions. Additionally, new this year is a booth where you learn all about Marketplace and Esri's digital sales channels. I hope to meet up with some of you there and also, keep in mind that Developer Day is on Wednesday and there's some great stuff (including a social) planned for the devs. See you soon - check out the EPN UC Flier of suggested sessions and activities.
Thanks again for listening and subscibing to my update. Recall, you can also connect with me @gletham on Twitter and the gram and Esri users and partenrs you can find me on Partner Community & Esri Community.
