It’s only three weeks until the annual Communicate conference, and here at The Natural History Consortium we’re getting quite excited about welcoming professionals from right across the UK to our annual conference (did you know…we’ve been holding the annual non-profit conference for the sector since 2004?
We hope you’ve got your tickets and we’ll see you on September 14-15th. Here is just a sneak preview of some of the amazing and inspirational people you’ll meet at this year’s conference.
Top techniques and expert communications
1. Matt Haworth from Reason Digital will be inspiring us to develop (or accelerate) our digital fundraising
2. Clara Nellist will be demonstrating how to use Tik-tok to engage audiences (beginners welcome!)
3. Amina Iqbal and Phil McMinn from Torchbox will be diving into analytics and data visualisation.
4. Duncan Yellowlees will be exploring the structures of stories, and how we can better use storytelling in our programmes

24. Caroline Hickman from University of Bath will host a special closed workshop to help delegates explore their own eco-anxiety
25. Zarina Ahmed, Laura Fogg-Rogers (UWE) and Colin Davis (Cabot Institute) will give their on perspectives on ‘environmentalists as activists’ and balancing our professional and personal priorities
26. Ruth Larbey and Mike Morecroft will lead a panel exploring ‘landscape scale’ partnerships across boundaries and borders
27. Our CEO, Savita Willmott, will be hosting the popular Commentary Box with specials guests such as Justin Morris from Bristol Zoo, Katie Popperwell from Festival 2022, and Rachel McClelland from planetSHINE.
