Ability to Handle Uncertainty - An Essential Leadership Skill
A Coaching Client in my "NorthStar" program has been tackling a challenging assignment for several quarters. The task requires him to continually learn and develop while delivering results, essentially being comfortable with the uncomfortable.
However, "self-doubt" occasionally disrupted his work-life balance ⚖️ as he attempted to regain control. During a recent coaching conversation, we discussed the "Inner Child approach" and the "Stockdale Paradox," which can give him great insight into handling situations with resilience and self-love while navigating the tough times at work.
The client committed to adopting a kinder approach towards himself while navigating through difficult work periods. He recognized the importance of acknowledging the need for growth rather than being hard on himself. He is also committed to being kinder to himself when there is uncertainty in the job function.
He also identified a few known people in the circle whom he could lean onto.
Three precise Actions in a short window of 1️⃣ hour of 🕛during the coaching helped him to get clearer🔎. Since we both know each other well through coaching, the tools are packed in such a way that resonates with his personality.
Coaching tools can be instrumental in preventing self-hurt based on self-doubt and nurturing a growth mindset powered by self-love while prioritizing what truly matters.
