AI: Show Me The Money!

AI: Show Me The Money!

If ideas were a dime a dozen before AI broke into the mainstream late 2022 / early 2023, ideas are surely now as abundant as the grains of sand on all the beaches of the world.

All very exciting given the theme of this newsletter: One Idea is All it Takes - just one idea is all it takes to change your entire life! Welcome to Issue 58.

Today, anyone with access to a smartphone (there are 6.92 billion of 'em)*, or a laptop, can go to a rapidly-growing number of AI sites to ask (prompt) for plenty of ideas in any field of interest. Accessing insightful research to generate new ideas has never been simpler.

It is also interesting to note that at this time of such incredible technological advancement (the AI era) it seems that many are struggling to find personal happiness.

Writes good friend Sally Anderson in this 27 August 2023 post - an eye-opening resource - highlighting a video link to 'Celebrities on Being Rich But Not Happy + Giving Advice' - '..a pretty sobering account of those who have all the money and fame in the world still struggling with their ability to be happy. Regardless of where you perceive yourself to be in your life right here right now, happiness DOES NOT LIE in a future destination. Happiness lies in the choices you make each and every single day.'

We have addressed these issues and challenges that many face in:

Issue 37. You Deserve YOUR 'Happy Place'

Issue 39. How To Thrive In A World Of Chaos

Today, we need to begin addressing what many are rightly concerned about: How to make good money with integrity in this fast-unfolding AI era?

An issue that should be noted is that, since the Covid pandemic, many are still operating from home, some with the blessing of their corporate bosses, and some as independents / freelancers. It seems that the in-office vs. remote-office tussle is becoming a major point of contention in the corporate space.

Read: The Forced Return to Office is the Definition of Insanity. Here's Why.

Extract: '..despite the overwhelming evidence that flexible hybrid work is more productive than forced in-office work for the same roles, top executives are stubbornly herding employees back to the office like lost sheep, expecting productivity to miraculously improve. This, my friends, is the very definition of insanity.. research shows that the office is detrimental to productivity.'

Meaning, that we can expect many more dissatisfied corporate folk to look into how AI can help them make good money with integrity.. working from home.

How important is the making of money? We dealt with this in - Issue 51: The Simple Facts of Life & Business!

Extract:

  • To survive adequately in this world, you need.. money.
  • To be reasonably safe & secure in this world, you need a roof over your head - ideally, a home to call your own - for which, you need.. money.
  • To succeed in this world, you need.. lots of money.
  • To make money, you need to do something (preferably to produce something and/or sell something) legally (as opposed to indulging in crime). You can sell your services (to an employer or as a service provider). You can build a business.

“Money isn’t the most important thing in life, but it’s reasonably close to oxygen on the ‘gotta have it’ scale.” Zig Ziglar

So, the first thing we did was to ask two AI search engines - Phind & Bard - to answer the prompt: 'Write an article with the title - AI: Show Me The Money - highlighting positive ways to make good money with integrity in the current rapidly unfolding AI era. Provide article and video resource links of practical examples of people making money with AI tools.'

It is recommended that YOU do this for yourself, as there is much that they highlight that will need to be researched according to the different interests of each reader. A lot of the focus at present is on how AI will save money and reduce mundane tasks, especially within corporate environments, making it important for corporate careerists to make themselves indispensable as AI specialists in their fields.

From our observation of above results and links, it appears that we are still in the very early days of getting verifiable recommendations on independent entrepreneurs making money with AI. That means that we will all have to dig deep and research.. research.. research.. and test.. test.. test.

Some links that we will be digging deeper into ourselves, are:

Perhaps the most impressive AI-tool development we have seen that we believe everyone should get into working with, is:

continuation from previous post: 27:01 If it survives this stage, and we have about a two thirds, 66% survival rate, we then write the first check in, which then gives the company resources to hire an executive team, build the key team, get an MVP working, minimum viable product working, and get some real customers. And then after that, hopefully, then successfully raises additional external rounds of funding, and can keep on growing and scaling. 32:17 When I think of the biggest risks of AI. I think that the biggest risks-- one of the biggest risks is the disruption to jobs. 32:44 And it turns out that, whereas, the previous wave of automation mainly-- the most exposed jobs were often the lower wage jobs. With this current wave of automation, is actually the higher wage jobs, further, to the right of this axis, that seems to have more of their tasks exposed to automation. 36:05I feel like if you want humanity to survive and thrive for the next 1,000 years, rather than slowing AI down, which some people propose, I would rather make AI go as fast as possible. So with that, just to summarize, this is my last slide. I think that AI, as a general purpose technology creates a lot of new opportunities for everyone.

was referred to this Glasp.co by Doyle Buehler (Now you can link your Youtube videos direct to ChatGPT to create some amazing summaries to post to your blog. Stunningly simple.) - looks interesting - did a test on the Dr. Andrew Ng video mentioned previously - https://share.glasp.co/uatmunp6nt5tk5vh/?p=qiWfVoDiU6V0HxtDH5EL - lays out my highlights like this: 09:23 So there are now certain AI applications that used to take me, literally, six months, maybe a year to build, that many teams around the world can now build in maybe a week. And I think this is already starting, but the best is still yet to come. This is starting to open up a flood of a lot more AI applications that can be built by a lot of people. 09:45 So I think many people still underestimate the magnitude of the flood of custom AI applications that I think is going to come down the pipe. 26:39 So the process is, we've, learned much more efficient, we just bring the leader at the very start. 26:39 And then we spent three months, six, two week sprints, to work with them to build a prototype as well as do deep customer validation. continued..

Dr. Andrew Ng: 9:24 '..there are now certain AI applications that used to take me, literally, six months, maybe a year to build, that many teams around the world can now build in maybe a week.
