Alcohol is a massive part of our culture..
and I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon.
People drink for different reasons—some like the taste, some like how it makes them feel, and some like how it takes the edge off.
The truth is undeniable, though - there are more downsides than upsides when it comes to alcohol's effect on the body.
That being said, there's a social element and life enjoyment part of our drinking culture that I'm aligned with.
As someone who struggled with my relationship to alcohol, I knew that if I wanted to participate in those social and familial aspects, I needed to find a healthy way for it to live in my life.
My rule for controlling your vices is that it can't live in your life if you can't control it.
If you are looking to improve your relationship with alcohol, here's a strategy that has allowed me to enjoy the occasional drink while maintaining a healthy relationship with it:
2:2 RULE
The 2:2 Rule is simple - alternate between alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks, up to four drinks.
You still get four drinks, but by alternating between alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic drinks, you get the "social benefits," AND you wake up the next day feeling incredible.
