One of the most exciting and thought-provoking meetings that I have attended this year is drawing to a close. I commend the organisers on a fantastic job to bring together scientists and industry representatives to discuss how to progress the expanding, globally-connected, algal biotechnology sector. Algal businesses are sprouting around the world who are innovating the production of food, footwear, sunscreen, skincare products, food supplements and plastics. I look forward to a bright 'green' future with the algal revolution.
