Amygdala Hijack’s

The sooner we recognize when we are in the midst of an amygdala hijack the faster we can minimize its damaging effects. Whenever we are in the midst of an amygdala hijack it is difficult to concentrate. During these attacks we often overreact in ways we later regret.

We see the unfortunate results of these hijacks every day.  The development of our emotional intelligence inhibits the damaging effects of these hijacks while increasing our ability to turn challenges into opportunities.
