Announcing New Head of Ethics and Impact

The bigger you grow as a business, the bigger impact your decisions have on your team, your clients, the wider industry and the environment around you, so those decisions need to be considered and part of the consideration is the ethical impact of those decisions. Are we doing this for the right reason? What is the impact of this decision on the industry? Does this decision conflict with our own code of ethics? And so on.

With that in mind, we are happy to announce the return of Lois Holland Leonard to The Recruitment Events Co., after 2 years away, as Head of Ethics and Impact.

Among other responsibilities, Lois will act as moral compass for the business, creating our own code of ethics and policing all major decisions to keep us true north in our own beliefs.

Lois will work with the RL100, and continue to create exposure for marginalised groups and highlight the potential opportunity being missed by employers.

Lois said "I’m very excited to be stepping back into the business following an amazing 2 years of business and product growth driven by Jamie and the team. It’s a huge honour for us as a business to be hosting events that have the possibility to impact people’s lives and their environment - and we want to take this opportunity with both hands to ensure that we give back as much as we have very kindly been given in opportunity.

We believe our industry has a hidden KPI/ target - one that goes unnoticed and unrecognised at board level but one that changes lives for thousands of people up and down the country. And that is the impact of employment on a persons self-worth, especially within the hidden and forgotten talent pools. We’re really excited to start to be able to delve into this look at how we can help this grow with our members nationally."
