Apres ISE: Our Top 5 spots in the city to meet up and wind down after a day at ISE 2024

Barcelona is well known for its incredible food, rich culture and some incredible architecture… but how about the best spots for a drink once the doors of the Fira have closed for the day? Barcelona has a whole host of incredible bars and venues to choose from but with so many events throughout the week where do you go at the end of the day with your customers or your new business partner to sign that all important deal?

Here’s our local hero Joan Maria Aixa Herrero 's guide to some of the best spots in the city after dark.

The Secret One- Monk Bar

Carrer dels Abaixadors, 10, Ciutat Vella, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

Perhaps one of the best hidden speakeasy bars in Barcelona! Disguised as a fairly ordinary looking corner shop in the El Born neighbourhood is the trendy and chic Monk Bar. With a menu consisting of cocktails from the classics through to some fancier more obscure options like the Gin and Seaweed flavoured drink: Björk, there’s bound to be an option that will impress any new lead.

The Local One- L'Ascensor

Carrer de Bellafila, 3, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona, Spain

Looking for something a little more laid back? Then the low-lit and chilled out Ascensor Cocktail Bar is just the place! After riding the elevator up to the bar, a cosy, classic cocktail bar awaits serving up firm favourites from Old Fashioned, Negronis, Mojitos and Margaritas. This local favourite is just the place to wind down after a busy day at ISE.

The Rooftop One- The Pulitzer Terrace at Hotel Pulitzer

C/ de Bergara, 8, L'Eixample, 08002 Barcelona, Spain

Situated right in the heart of Barcelona just off of one of Barcelona's busiest squares, Plaça Catalunya you’ll find the tropical paradise of The Pulitzer Terrace. Sip on a sweet cocktail and enjoy the sounds of one of their resident DJ’s on the rooftop in the evenings. Although keep in mind, we know Barcelona has some great weather but it is January so make sure you bring a warm jacket!

The Cool One- 33/45

C/ de Joaquín Costa, 4, Ciutat Vella, 08001 Barcelona, Spain

With comfy leather sofas and booths, 33/45 is a chilled out bar and gallery popular with the trendsetters of El Raval. The bar boasts a great cocktail menu and knowledgeable staff who will be more than happy to talk you through the menu including ice cold Moritz and €5 cocktails during happy hour! This place is pretty quirky and even has its own radio station!

The Experiential One- Dow Jones Bar

C/ del Bruc, 97, L'Eixample, 08009 Barcelona, Spain

The Dow Jones Bar, not just a bar but an experience. Known as a ‘Stock Market Bar’, the price of drinks at The Dow Jones are dependent on their popularity that night. Everyone having Negronis? Then they’ll be more expensive! To add to the fun, multiple times a night there will be a market crash where the prices on drinks plummet so make sure you get up to the bar quickly!

We can’t wait to get back to Barcelona and to see you all at what is promised to be a memorable Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) ! Team Maverick will be at stand 3Q500 all week, and If you fancy having a drink with us before you hit the town then come and join us for happy hour at our Après Ski bar from 4-6pm each day at ISE, see you there!
