What happened to the multi billion dollar market hype that was created when data science buzz was promoted as the sexiest job of the 21st century only few years ago! It was hyped so much that organisations were told that they will be left behind if they do not jump on to analytics! Keen to know whether the hype became a reality! Nothing happened to organisations that did not get on it! Now the word data science is not used anywhere!! Let’s see in few years time whether this AI hype will become a reality. At the end of the day, I want the CEOs and CFOs of end user Organizations to talk about the business impact AI has created (not vendors, consulting firms, CDAO, CIO, CTO talking about business value created) to their bottom line or top line and to me, that would be the real benchmark!
