AN ARTIST VIEW OF HISTORICAL ARCHITECTURE OF CHARLESTON, S. CAROLINA by Martin Fine

Charleston, the South Carolina port city founded in 1670, is defined by its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and pastel antebellum houses, particularly in the elegant French Quarter and Battery districts. I spent a few days there just to soak in the early history of The United States. The well preserved architecture, especially in the French Quarter, was my prime choice to appreciate that. As an artist, history buff and having spent over 30 years as an architectural photographer the following images are my visual "interpretation" of Charleston. I hope you'll enjoy and get a taste of The South.
